You're right, but my understanding for the reason Shadows is on here is because he's an aspect of the band that doesn't get a lot of recognition. Trey's guitar playing is the main reason most people listen to MA.

Been reading through the thread, and while I agree that M. Shadows has a better voice than what most other A7X fans listen to (metalcore shit), but I don't feel his voice is all that unique.  His voice reminds me of Hetfield a lot, but without as much "gruff," if that makes sense.  He can actually sing better than Hetfield, but the similarities to me keep him from really being labelled as "unique."

#9 - Christian "Flake" Lorenz (Rammstein)


Flake is such an underrated keyboard/synth player. I mean, part of the reason Rammstein is so fucking badass is his work on keyboard. But most people (from what I've noticed) tend to flock towards how god damn manly Til Lindemann is. Primarily what I love about Flake is both how his music adds the overall atmosphere of the song, whether it be a simple synthezer riff or some of that gothic choir like music and that I really like how it isn't too flashy, but you know it's there. He's also in general just a really cool guy/musician, like the rest of Rammstein. Eh is okay with being LIT ON FIRE ON STAGE and doesn't afraid of anything. Seriously, that's has got to be the epitome of awesome. And he even stated once "It's just pain".

M Shadows: atrocious screamer, excellent singer. I still think the stylistic change on City of Evil is the smartest thing the band ever did.

Edit: Which is ironic because I think Waking the Fallen is far and away their best album. I'm not sure how those two contradicting opinions correlate, but...there you go.
