Look into my eyes

And it's easy to see

One and one make two

 Two and one make three

IT WAS DESTINY

I often go up to people and just say that like I'm making it up. The reactions are priceless.

The self-titled debut is a seriously funny album with some really cool music on it as well. Pick of Destiny was pretty underwhelming though.

Ariich is a freak, or somehow has more hours in the day than everyone else.

I think part of the weakness of PoD was it's direction relation to the film.

"Do you think that, um...dude, do you think that when...when the album...when this is out...do you think that it will...it will make us, um...more attractive...to the ladies?"
"Pssshhh, yeah! In fact, I've been gettin' ready."
"Yeah?"
"Yeah. I've been doin' cock pushups."
"Cock pushups?"
"Yeah"
"What're those?"
"It's where you fuckin' lay down flat on the ground..."
"Yeah"
"...and then you let your boner lift you up off the ground"
"N-no...that's...that'd be impossible. Your...your cock can support your whole weight?"
"Well, not at first...
"Yeah"
"...but overtime..."
"Hmm...how...how many pushups can you do?"

"Cock pushups?"
"Yeah.....
....
....
....
I guess you could only do one, really..."

"Yeah, one is all you need."

I imagined the story to go more like this.

I was sitting a traffic light blaring Space Dye Vest and next to me in another car was Kevin Moore. And I'll never be open again.

New album is being recorded, might already be done. Apparantly might be named 'Tenacious D 3-D'

I think part of the weakness of PoD was it's direction relation to the film.
I see what you mean, but it was no more related to the film than the first album was to the TV show. I think it's more that the level of expectation was much higher second time around, whilst the first album just came out of nowhere and blew everyone away.

True. I cherry pick my songs off both albums anyway so I don't really see either as better or worse - there are songs I really don't care for on both.

I'm just ressurrecting this thread because I need to have people to appreciate these dudes with. I listened both their albums fully yesterday--which I hadn't done in a long time--and remembered how epic Tenacious D really is.

The debut album was great. POD was forgettable, I also didn't like the inconsistency story wise on POD when compared to the first album.

NO ONE TALKS ABOUT TENACIOUS D LIKE THAT.

Seriously, how can you not find their riffs catchy?

The music is ok but I'm tired of JB.

He's the same character in every film he's in.
