Why was Kevin Moore not included in the polling options?  Somebody's slipping.
He was, initially, because I liked the idea of KevMo coming back and giving Mike an aneurysm.

Then it got loads of votes, skewing the results of the poll, and it wasn't until then that I remembered that actually, people do that on every poll and it's always exactly the same, making it a bit of a rubbish joke. So I changed it to "Actual Real-Life Jesus." It's going to change again in a minute.

Can we add Rebecca Black to the poll option?

No. She needs to concentrate on her solo works.

...Until she gets them right.

The greatest thing would be if they actually announced the new drummer today, a bunch of DT fans came here looking for information about it, and saw this.

At this point there isn't really any major event lined up before The concerts in summer, are there? I'm wondering whether they will really wait until then.

I know that Portnoy isn't in the band :) it was a speculation in a post above mine, that DT is joking around about Portnoy's leaving ;) and I said, that I don't understand that kind of jokes ;)

Actually I think the post was implying the band is just having a laugh at everyone freaking out, wondering who the new drummer is, and the general rampant speculation. Not entirely serious about the implication, I'm sure. I don't think it was implying Portnoy has been with the band the whole time.

I'm just happy that they're getting close to finishing recording.

When Metallica lost Jason, it was 2 years before they even started auditioning.

But with DT, the drummer and founder member leaves the band and less than a year later

they've got a new drummer, and recorded a new album.

This is why I love DT. They just get on with it. They don't sit around for two years doing nothing.

1/5th who was in so many side projects that he couldn't handle the workload and wanted the rest of the band to stop working just for him.

I fu**ing hate this type of comments. Did you not read what MP said? He could handle all of it, he was just getting tired of DT specifically. If it was a workload problem he would have left the side projects, not "his baby".

Then MP did the right thing by quitting the band. Expecting everyone else to stop indefinitely was ludicrous.

He did. As far as what he expected from the rest, I think he felt everyone else was burned as he was, but it was not the case.

The rapidity with which rumors spread in a church and at Blabbermouth is eerily similar.
