A short video would be great actually. Doesn't need to show the drummer. Hell, doesn't even need to have drums. Just JP playing a guitar riff by himself, or JR doing a keyboard part, or something. I'd be happy with that. :)
Actually a short clip of them jamming where we can HEAR the drummer but not see him would be amazing; the speculation would be through the roof.

I'd love this.

This. That would really raise interest in the new drummer again.

Guys, let's just keep this demand going until JLB tweets something about this :D

We aren't allowed to change votes, so what are you talking about?

Even if we could change votes why is it lame for people to change their opinion on who they think will be the new drummer?

I think it would be better to have the ability to change votes. If Mangini were to out of the blue announce that he was not in fact the drummer, we'd still have however many votes for him still up there, making the poll virtually useless as a tool to see who was really in the lead. I think the point of this thread wasn't to plug your vote in the very beginning and pray that who you voted for didn't get ruled out, but rather to follow the evidence about the new drummer and change your vote as needed to reflect your own personal opinion as it changed.

That happened quite some time ago, though, so if numbers went up it's because of new votes only.

No matter if it's Mangini or not, I'm beginning to think they are waiting until they can release their single, so people can judge the new drummer a bit more fairly.

I just hope that when the announcement is made, we get a reason why it took so long. Obviously the band has known for some time who the drummer is, and they obviously really want to tell us. I hope they say something like "the problem was label issues" or "the drummer had contractual obligations to fulfill that prevented us from announcing it." It seems like they've had the guy for like four months; there has to be a reason why they didn't tell us sooner, and I would like to know what it is.

It's not so much that he IS the permanent replacement, but certainly the most likely given what we do and do not know. Nothing is set in stone.
