I believe it. Wondering why it's taking so long to announce it though. Not being an industry insider, it's very difficult to understand how it could possibly take so long to work things out. But, whatever, looking forward to the next album.

I'll bet that we will hear that the record is recorded and in the post production stage before we hear who the new drummer is.

Tracking wont take all that long. This cd will be in the can soon. My guess is that we will get an announcement of the cd title along with the new drummer info.

Had a dream where the new dt album got released whilst me and ariich were queuing for one of their shows and the drummer still hadn't been announced. One of us went and got a copy then we opened the liner notes to find that the new drummer is dave grohl. I was livid but ariich were surprisingly cool with it! Hope it isn't a premonition!

I think he would be a great pick; his anxiety issues make him easy to be ruled out, though. Which is a shame, because he is a great drummer with a terrific sense for the groove.

As a side project it would be interesting to see the guys team up with someone for something a bit more commercial/poppy but I would cry at the prospect of dream fighters being all that was left

Hopefully not, but if DT were to get a poppy-type drummer, Dave Grohl would definitely be the best

It'd be quite a good name for an eleventh album, assuming they went forwards with it rather than backwards. I like that as a statement. "We've got a time machine. It'd be really easy to use it to replicate past successes, but fuck that shit! Into the future!"

More likely, though, it's just something to do with the band goofing off.

Of course some people know who the drummer is.

As far as the auditions being filmed, that doesn't surprise me. For one thing, in making the decision, it could be very useful for the guys to be able to go back and watch the auditions again and discuss. And the technology being what it is, it is so cheap and easy to do it almost doesn't make sense NOT to film something like that. Plus, we know Jordan has become a serious video freak over recent years, so it wouldn't surprise me if the suggestion came from him (or if he just decided on his own to do it).

Now as far as whether or not we, the fans, will ever see any of it...I could be mistaken, but I doubt it.
