Nah, they're building the perfect 3 man kit. They're also working out the mixing for it. One kit will get left audio channel, one will get right, and the third will get center. Center will also be mixed higher The person working the center kit will change from song to song. Drumming creativity will be at an all time high.

"The announcement of Mike's replacement was revealed in a long statement by the band to be Mike Mangini. Marco Minnemann was the initial choice following the fabled "7 Drummer Audition" but has since repudiated the offer due to personal reasons not as of yet revealed. Former Berklee intructor and friend of the former skinsman Mike Mangini has agreed to man the drum throne for the immediate future and is currently recording his parts for the new release"

I wouldn't trust wikipedia for something like that, especially since they haven't had any long statements revealing anything yet... Looks like someone with wishful thinking edited wikipedia, because if it says it there, it must become truth.

I noticed they even changed the band member list and other areas to include Mangini, someone was thorough.

EDIT: It seems the guy is from the Boston area and seems to be well in the music scene there, and went to Berklee and studied with Mike Mangini, so I'd say he could well know something!

I'd say there have been several unofficial round about leaks now and they all point to Mike Mangini. Even though we can't be sure yet, it sure seems obvious at this point.

You know what this reminds me of? When you're standing in a GA concert, everybody is jacked up to see the band, but then it takes ages for the band to come on. All the while, for inane reasons such as a curtain fluttering, everybody goes frantic, only to die down once everybody realizes it was nothing.

That's kinda the situation right now.
