I think I will be disappointed when the announcement is made because we won't be able to speculate anymore.  In all seriousness, this is a great thread, it introduced me to a lot of drummers I hadn't heard of before.

I don't care who wins as long as the band likes him and we get more great music to listen to.

I love Jordison and Slipknot, but's almost laughable. He's a good drummer, but there are plenty of guys that could play DT stuff. And what does "Wouldn’t you be really interested to hear a Dream Theater record again?" mean anyway? Did they miss the part where they're in the studio right now?

That coupled with the fact that Slipknot has already scheduled another live appearance, I just don't see it happening. Then again if he's the guy and I'm totally shocked, hey, I get one of my favorite metal drummers in my favorite band.



On the other hand, sneaking him into the studio with that mask on would work out quite nicely.
