Come on, Octavarium had always been loved (the song). I don't ever remember a time when it was "just OK" and I was certainly around when it was released.

For that matter, there was always a loud segment of the fanbase who "ass-raped" TOT, but there has also always been a large segment that loved it. It was never "ass-raped" by the majority.

Another day. Another tweet indicating more time is necessary before the drummer is named. It's going to be anticlimactic when
the dude is finally named. But in the end the only thing that matters is that the choice led to the best musical output. I sure hope
they got it right.

They're naming a new drummer. There isn't really anything intrinsically climactic about it such that it could now be anti-climactic.

That's what I'm thinking also. Though, they keep telling us soon but I'm wondering if it will coincide(sp?) with the CD announcement.

In actuality they are NOT naming a new drummer. And I can only speak for myself. You are free to feel as you wish. In my case
I was pretty pumped for the first couple months but with the passage of more time it has become anticlimactic for me. And to
reiterate, at this juncture all that matters to me is the music. I trust the band made what they feel was the best choice for
the music, and to me, the music is all that matters.

Sure. But it at least confirms what is kinda obvious. It's not what they planned to happen. And what I like more is that he said what happened would be explained.

^It's not really important to me if the event is ever explained. As long as the band is ultimately
happy with their choice and the album meets or exceeds their artistic vision.
