That was the best first post I've seen from ANYONE

Agree!!!! best first post in history of forums!

altho, i don't want it to be mangini  :(... but if the guys like him, enough for me.

I think this sparta guy might know more than what we think and the story he told is not 100% true (about the pizza detective thing).. i think he is an insider.... i would consider his post the official leak!

I doubt he actually went there as a pizza detective, but I think he probably found those pictures of the studios on the internet and compared them, realizing they were the same as the DT pictures.

Either way, a great effort.

I get the feeling the story was more of a framing device for his actual research. I cite the fact that instead of posting his own pictures, he posted pictures from the studio websites.

That said, his conclusions definitely seem valid.

The pizza story is preposterous and, if any of you believe that, you need some serious help.  LOL

BUT, I agree that the pizza thing was just a funny way of presenting the evidence and that post is really funny and cool.  My wife's family lives on Long Island.  I'm going to ask if one of them can go hang out near the studio and take some pictures.  Will keep you all updated.

I hate to burst your bubble guys but if Mangini mentioned the "North Shore", as a former resident of Boston, he simply meant north of Boston. The North Shore is a very common geographical reference up around there. Rumborak and any Boston/MA folk could back me up on this.

Yeah, North Shore definitely refers to MA, which is confirmed by what ddtonfire just posted.  But, at least we know the studio now.

Yeah. For somebody living in Boston, saying North Shore is assumed to mean north of Boston. It's a fixed term here.

Nice story, mate!

I also think that Mike Mangini wasn't referring to the north shore of Long Island. We still got next to nothing about this.

orcus is correct.  I hope we are both wrong though. I hope Mangini is being vauge.

Someone needs to tweet the guys and let them know they have been out-ed.

DT fans are smart and relentless when it comes to speculation and details.

Did DT say they were at Avatar officially?  If so, then they lied to us fans!  Clever attempt to fool us and keep the lid on for a while.

I expect pics of them entering the studio next.

Maybe this will inspire them to tell us already.  A cell phone pic of the new guy would definitely steal a lot of their thunder, and it would make the "official" announcement a mere formality.  All they will be able to do is confirm a rumor rather than make a surprise announcement.

Tick, tick, tick.....

He played in one DT's live shows in Portnoy's two-persons drum kit.

In JR's latest Youtube video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=25MWLfpQy98), he says that he's going to be back at the studio with DT for one *last* week. That means that they've almost finished writing the songs - I doubt they'd finish recording already.
