They really can't wait to the release of DT11. They've said soon too many times, for them to announce it when the record is done. Around the release is as far from "soon" as possible

It's not only a session, but a tour aswell. Think about it. They are entering the studio, wich can take months.. i dno.. Then a tour in may. Dt will probably start touring in June/July. So he gotta get ready for two tours with different band and record in studio with two different band within june, that's not very likely

I thought the audition footage idea was hinted at by JP when he first started answering questions on his forum. I thought someone suggested it and he liked the idea. Don't think it was ever more than that.
