Seems like that could embarrass the six guys who didn't make it. It wouldn't necessarily mean that they weren't better drummers, but I can see people taking it that way.

Am I wrong in thinking that I read somewhere that they were filming the auditions for the next CD's special edition? Or was that just speculation?

Most of the drummers that we're betting on are tweeting about doing other stuff at the moment, so who could be in the studio?

I would very much like Johnny Mac to be the new drummer, but a few pages back, someone claiming he is friends with him wrote that he didn't even audition. Don't know if it's true though.

Also: Staying in New York! New gigs, things are good. I will be working with Tore and ARK, writing online for now. We will be recording album hopefully soon enough. Sorry for the slow process but well worth it. So I am around for Lessons, sessions, gigs, clinics etc.

Being in DT, would he have the time to do all this and be fully committed to writing a new album, especially with two bands plus lessons etc.

I'm curious as to why we are still thinking its one of the original 7 names. I feel like there is a all this evidence ruling out every name on that original list of people. I feel like that original list of people was false to begin with. What if all the drummers we've been speculating on didn't even audition in the first place? I feel like we've overlooked the original list and are giving the rumor of that list too much credit. It could very well be someone we haven't mentioned yet.

This is slightly off topic, but I have a brief story about this. I've been horribly sick with the flu since yesterday morning (feeling OK at the moment)... anyway, Im sure you are all aware that when you have the flu, delirious dream-like hallucinations occur. I was actually tortured last night (drifing in and out of sleep) with digesting the "news" that Minneman was announced as DTs drummer. For some reason, I thought I read this somewhere, and that there were tons of legal issues that had to be figured out in terms of him being the drummer. And of course, I had to solve these legal issues. I even remember thinking "wait a minute, did this actually even happen" and coming to the conclusion "I am 95% sure I read this on DTF, so yeah, this announcement happened".

Upon checking DTF this morning, I of course realize that my disease addled brain had completely fabricated this... god damn it.

Not necessarily... if the camps are, say, 2-6 months from now, this would be after the studio sessions are done and before any touring in support of the album. Right?

Except, he said at the end of 2010 that there would be many camps in 2011 and outside the United States.
