I initially voted for Thomas Lang.  I haven't changed the vote.  I still hold out hope for Marco though.

We all do. But since it won't be Marco I will choose Lang. The only two drummers I didn't have a problem were Lango or Marco. I'd be happy with either.

Yeah, it's not like it has been posted about fifteen times in this thread already...

I figured it was, thats why I didn't do it. I also didn't want to dig through over 60 pages of this thread to find out.

I still go for Macaluso even though I don't know if he even auditioned. Now, that would bring some change in DT.

I didn't look are Animal or Buddy Rich in the poll?
I don't see why, after all the ridiculousness we've had so far that a puppet and a dead guy shouldn't be included.

Also, Rumby you should be ashamed that your still using a haloween avatar.

I know there has been rumours that Marco Minnemann would be the new DT drummer...

But has there been other rumours, about other drummers? (those voted high on this poll)

Minnemann isn't the new drummer. Neither is Mangini. Neither is Charlie Z. Some people think it's Lang, others think it's Weckl, and 2 or 3 people for some reason think it's Macaluso. That's about it for now.

Minnemann, Jarzombek, Zeleny, and Donati have been pretty convincingly ruled out.  (And it's not Priester, but nobody with halfway realistic expectations thought he was a serious candidate anyway)  None of the others have, to my knowledge.

We're trusting the fact that he's out. Unless you need someone in DT or Marco to personally come to your house and tell you face to face that Marco is 100% NOT the new Dream Theater drummer, then what we have should be convincing.

I don't know about you, but I'm trusting his bandmates, who said he is out because he is their permanent drummer.

Why isn't it Mangini?  I know he's doing other work, but the new drummer isn't in the studio with them anyway.  Has any other band said he's their permanent drummer?

Wildoer said that thing about "DT, yeah that could be cool."  Plus, isn't he in another band?

On the other hand, waiting to announce him because his paperwork as a foreigner hasn't been filled out yet would make a lot of sense.

Yeah, I had forgotten about Wildoer.  But I never really considered him a realistic possibility, so he was easy for me to overlook.

Yeah, metalpete had a raging hard on for Wildoer, and even he admitted it didn't seem like Wildoer got the gig. Metalpete may be able to provide better details about wildoer's Facebook posts.

Wildoer seemed more realistic than Priester, but neither seem like a good choice for dt.(imo)
