I would like to know why so many people dont like aguiles priester as a drummer? Ive watched alot of videos of all the front runners, as far as what people call front runners,and he is a more than capable drummer. his style is a little heavier but could see him doing well with dt.I really dont have a fav candidate ,but watching his videos he seems to have the most prog like vibe and sounds the most like mp.thats not to say that i want a mp clone ,just that in watching him he reminds me the most of mp out of all the front runners...just my 2 cents :biggrin:

I'm sure Aquiles could play everything Mike used to play in DT, after all he is a great drummer, however, compared to the other drummers discussed like Lang, Minnemann, Donati and Mangini he is nowhere near their level of skill or creativity. But to me the thing that Aquiles has against him the most is the language barrier. Honestly I don't think he even auditioned.

Okay i have been following this thread over the last month but what (if any) evidence do we have that any of these mentioned drummers is a possiblity.  I vote Mangini but other than heresay is there any real evidence of a new drummer? I am getting pretty pissed that one of the four guys hasnt said something yet.  There has got to be someone out there that knows! Come forward!
