NAMM is about new musical technology, new instruments and their presentation, not the business of bands. It's very, very unlikely that the announcement will be made there.

It's already been said multiple times in this thread, but Blabbermouth has nothing to do with RR beyond being hosted on their servers. There's a disclosure on the site that says that.

My 2 year old loves that show, but, be warned, the songs will get stuck in your head.  They do indeed drop some fresh beats.

I think his point is simply that it is annoying and pointless to get information to have so much misinformation from noncredible sources thrown into the mix because it actually derails the discussion.

Ya know i was thinking that it has been taking to long for any real info on this but it just came to me that its not like someone can just sit in like they have been studying DT's music all along and they just hit it off right away , I am thinking they were given some time to learn various  songs to see if the new drummer's style will click with them or not . not so much if they could pull off the tunes or not .

I was thinking this being a drummer myself and thinking it has to be allot tougher to figure out on both sides  if the new guy is right and has the feel the band wants’ for DT's sound not so much having the chops.
Anyway must be tuff and as we can all tell there not just looking for someone who can just go threw the motions

All that is probably true to a degree, but it has little to do with why the information hasn't been revealed.  It was announced that they had made their definite decision some time ago, and that they just can't announce it yet because they are working through some legal issues.  That's really all there is to it.

Is Lang the only one who has not been mentioning he has other projects going on?  I know Marco and Mangini both have various other things.  I'd say that most likely rules them out just because they need to start learning the DT discography.  How are they going to be learning the back catalog if they are so busy with other stuff?
