, but anything longer than 2 minutes of it and I've already clocked out.

That's 2 minutes longer than I could stand a MP solo for.

Sorry if this has been posted already, I looked for it and couldn't find anything:

In regards to Peter Wildoer, in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vTZZ42Uu9aI, look at the comments section.

Wildoerfaren is Peter's account, by the way.

A fan posted this:
"I'm amazed by your co-ordination of all four limbs! great stuff! keep the videos coming! P.S Im hoping its you who dream theater have picked to replace mike portnoy, your my favourite modern drummer!"

then...
"Thanks a lot! Very glad you enjoy the clip and my playing. :-) Ha ha, yeah Dream Theater would have been cool...

Cheers,

Peter"

Interpret that as you will, I thought it was interesting and wanted to share.
Don't know where you live, but if your ever in Berkeley, dinner's on me.  Thanks man!!!

Yeah, we've discussed this comment already. If it's him, he's likely to be ruled out.

Another possible hint????

December 6, 2010 – San Francisco, CA - Dream Theater’s legendary keyboardist Jordan Rudess and drum great Marco Minnemann appear on the BandCrashers.com platform in a two-hour live online streaming performance on December 15, 2010, from Chicago’s premier Plant 10 Studios, at 8 p.m. CST (9 p.m. EST and 6 p.m. PST).  The “Musical Mind Meld” features special guest guitarist extraordinaire Daniel Jakubovic who will join Rudess/Minnemann in what is anticipated to be a no holds barred improvisational musical excursion through the minds of two of the greatest musicians in the world.

Possible. But not likely of any meaning. JR has jammed with at least two of other possible drummers listed before as well.

I was about to post this... but you guys got to it first.

Well, yes it could be a hint, although it would kind of loose momentum... to present the new drummer like this. Another scenario, could be that Minnemann was not chosen but it sparked this collaboration... so it could go either way. I personally think that if Marco was the one chosen, maybe this gig would not happen until after the announcement.

But hey, everyday we are getting closer to that announcement... I would narrow it to the last three finalists Lang, Minnemann and Mangini. But maybe DT could have another card up their sleeve and announce Rod Morgenstein!!!

Well here is what I am thinking. I still think it's a swedish drummer. The Labrie tour was cancelled right after the auditions ( Auditions was around october 20., the tour got cancelled october 28). He has hinted on facebook that he auditioned ( maybe). He will not answer directly that he did not audition. And he writes on facebook that he is so busy that he doesn't have time to sleep.

But this is just what I think.

Nothing from an official source, since that would obviously be an implicit announcement of Mike as the drummer. Take it with a grain of salt, it's through friends' channels. But, given that Mike is from, and lives in Boston I somewhat trust this piece of news.

You heard it here first.

Lately I've been spewing off random "prophecies."  It's a bad habit, I know, but one day I'll end up being right and every living thing will worship me!  BWAHAHAHAHA.

Wouldn't surprise me at all if true. I still think Mangini is the most likely candidate for several reasons
and some Berklee-related stuff would be a valid reason for them to delay the announcement so long.

While I'd prefer Lang to Mangini, I'd be FINE with Mangini.

He obviously is a way better drummer than portnoy and can play anything portnoy could, but his natural style is different but enough that it would still mesh with DT.

However, he still seems like a jobber.

By "jobber", you mean only a temporary drummer? If that's the case, with Mangini, I see where you're coming from. Given that I've lost interest in listening to MP DT, if he ever comes back, I'm done with it.
