He is quite a skilled guy, and he knows what he's talking about, but I totally see where people say he comes off as kind of arrogant.  "I can play paradiddles with my feet."

Well, he IS a very talented drummer. I think he is just confident by mentionning it. A bit like Jordan if you ask me.

This. I don't think he seems too arrogant for DT at all. I got a really good impression of the guy through that 'interview', and I think he would fit right in.

I didn't think that comment was arrogant at all in the context of what he was saying.  He was basically saying that it doesn't matter how good you are, the only way to succeed is to have the right connections.

I'm wanting this guy as drummer so much I need to take a step back in case it's not him. I sooo don't want to be disappointed when I find out who it is.

Maybe, but I couldn't think of a scenario where it would be appropriate for Dream Theater. Either way, his comments about how they are the future of drumming rather terrify me, the day that electric drums replace acoustic sets is the day I go outside and hang myself.

U.C. Berkeley (aka "Cal.," "Berkeley") is in Berkeley, California (where Lonestar's restaurant is).

Berklee School of Music is in Boston.  (there is another Berklee School of Music in the San Diego area as well; not sure if it is a different school or a satellite campus)
