Would you vote for this guy for governor?

Dale Ogden is the Libertarian gubernatorial candidate in California, and I like him for obvious reasons. But I'm curious if some of the regulars here would consider voting for him if you lived in CA, especially considering his views on immigration. If anything, would you vote for him if it meant breaking up the monopoly that the two major parties have on state politics?

Seems cogent enough if you agree with his philosophy. I would never vote for him but if you are libertarian I can't say he would be a bad choice.

I'd vote for him. The only thing that I really disagree with is what he said about funding for roads and parks. Other than that I liked a lot of what I heard. I think this goes without saying, but he is in favor Proposition 19.

yea aside from people who use it should pay for it which would just fuck up the roads and parks, i would vote for him. in reality he couldn't pull of a change like that anyway, so he would work.

The video, on the whole, reminds me of this:

But I don't know. I don't know what the competition looks like. He seems reasonable enough.

That's actually a very bad thing from your point of view.  People like us have it much better in Cali now than if that thing passes.

I can't watch the video up here, but from what I've read, I can't say that I like him.  However, I'd probably vote for him anyway.  I dislike big party candidates much more, and as ZGF pointed out, he wouldn't be able to accomplish the outlandish bits, anyway.
Argument, the presentation of reasonable views, never makes headway against conviction, and conviction takes no part in argument because it knows.

It's hard to be less appealing of a candidate than Brown and Whitman.

I'm not debating, I'm curious of your point of view. Why is it better now?

I think he's saying what it takes to get elected much like anyone else in his position would. Therefore he can talk the talk but I'm unsure if he would walk the walk.

The problem with American politics is that every party, major and minor, tends to go to an extreme of some kind.
