This album is incredible. I don't care that there's a more poppy sound to it, it's just damn awesome... possibly their best album?

It's kind of like SFAM though in that it's way better if you listen to it all at once.

Yeah that's the strong point, the choruses are just brilliant, and the pre-choruses.

My fave part at the moment is the "angels have faith..." bit in A Demon's Fate

Just listened to it for the first time. Loved it. This is the first time in a LONG time I've sat down with a new record and followed along with the lyrics as it played. Gotta love that feeling. Don't know why I don't do it more often!

Sadly, I still don't get the story. I guess that's what the extra DVD is for!

Just watch the movies on the second disc. Were cool. I have a better idea of the story now, but still don't completely get it. Gotta read the comic, too.

Faster is, IMO, the weakest song on the album. Yeah, it's THAT good.

Faster is one of my favorite songs on the album, actually. I love the intro... but they're all great. I can't even pick a least favorite one to be honest.

No, I'm saying it because the album is really that good. This is one of very few albums I've bought from any band where I can say there truly isn't even a single weak track on the entire thing.

The only songs I don't like are some of those bonus ones on the DVD. The one with the male singer doesn't really do anything for me. I've listened to the bonus stuff maybe one time, though.

Listened to the first 7 songs in my for the first time today.

Wow. Not quite as good as their second album, but just as good if not better than the last two cd's they made. The production is outstanding and Sharon's voice is on fire. I'm actually quite jealous that they can write such amazingly strong and catchy melodies in every single song while I have problems writing any to my music.

I look forward to listening to the rest of it.

Nope. They're on various non-U.S. editions only. But I can't complain about paying $.99 each on Amazon. Listened to them a couple of times on the drive today. Good songs, but overall not as strong as the regular album tracks. The Last Dance has some really interesting vocals from Sharon. This is almost completely a folk song--no metal at all. But still pretty neat. The other two are pretty good, too.

Yeah, I think videos for them are on my DVD. I didn't buy it inside the US, so that might explain why mine is special. I don't get why they'd shoot videos for songs that weren't included on the normal and even most of the special editions of the album though.

Hm, actually I don't. I have a video for some song called "Utopia" which wasn't on my album. I hadn't looked at the DVD since I bought the album.

Are all 3 bonus songs worth getting in your opinion?

If you're a fan of the band, yes, definitely. They aren't as strong as the album tracks, but still good. Here are some comments I wrote about them on Samsara's forum:

But don't write it off until you've heard it. She makes it work. And I once again have to give her props for being one of the most creative metal vocalists out there and one who truly treats her voice as an instrument that she can experiment and achieve all kinds of different results with. Empty Eyes is probably my favorite of the three. Good song.

Well, I love The Silent Force, Heart of Everything, and this one. Anything before that, not so much. Sorry, but I think Sharon's voice sounds really... strange on the earlier stuff. I also didn't like the Utopia song very much even though the album is awesome, but after listening to these others on amazon I think I'm gonna have to check 'em out.

Oh yeah. I forgot about that video. Yeah, I have that too. That was actually done before the Unforgiven sessions and isn't really part of this album (other than the fact that they decided to include it on the DVD).
