Just noticing part of "Visions" in "Premonition"... noticing more repeated sections in other songs... love for album... RISING!

So I've been loving the hell out of this album, except for two sections of the title track that people have already mentioned (the "Now I see a shadow of a man in my silhouette" part and the "I bet you don't remember me" part). Which is a huge shame, because those two parts, in particular the second, are grating enough to really hurt the title track for me.

..I can't REALLY stay mad at the first of the two parts though. I have this huge grin on my face every time it comes on. It's just so silly. And now I'm back...TO TAKE REVENGE!

The only problem with the "I bet you don't remember me" part is that it goes on for too long.

I LOVE those parts. Some of the coolest, most interesting vocals right there. Maybe they go on a little too long, but eh, it's worth it.

Deathless is my favorite song these guys have ever done, with Nocturnal Conspiracy just behind. I'm one of those people in the camp that thinks this album was more cohesive and enjoyable than the last, though.

I used to think otherwise but lately I've been liking Visions more.

Seen this band being mentioned several times here on DTF, so tonight I decided to chek'em out...

I've got a great feeling about these guys, wow! I think I so far prefer visions more than Aquarius. Haven't listened to the entire albums yet though ;p

Their demo can just be ordered through that email address. I got one, but it's a copy of the demo, burnt on a CD.
A couple of months after the release I still like Visions better than Aquarius, though it's very, very close.

Ranking time (both albums):

Celestial Elixir
Deathless
Drowning in the Flood
Nocturnal Conspiracy
Aquarium
Visions
The Mind's Eye / Portals / Shapeshifter (Yeah, well. I see this as one song, or at least a 'suite')
The Point of No Return
Eternal Rain
Insomnia
Streams
Premonition
Sun

Still, I love even my least favourite of theirs. This band has quickly become one of my favourite bands in the world, ever since having seen them in 2010. Saw them live twice, met the guys twice. Great people and brilliant music.
Hey dude slow the fuck down so we can finish together at the same time.

^Someone else who seemingly loves Deathless as much as I do! Yes.

Deathless is something else entirely... Seriously, even if the rest of the album was crap, I'd still buy it just for that song.

Since everyone's ranking stuff:

Aquarius:
1- Celestial Elixir
2- Aquarium
3- Drowning in the Flood
4- Sun
5- Eternal Rain
6- Streams
7- The Point of No Return

Aquarium and Drowning in the Flood often change places, but the rest stays pretty much where they are. That being said, I love each song (though the second half of The Point of No Return really brings it down for me...)

Visions:
1- Deathless
(1,5 - Premonition - Would be my 2nd place, but I only like it that much because of the way it kind of sums the album up, so I guess it doesn't really count...)
2- Nocturnal Conspiracy
3- Visions
4- Mind's Eye
5- Insomnia
6- Portals
7- Shapeshifter

I'd say that Visions is overall better than Aquarius (though it too is incredible). Where each song goes when ranking both albums together, however, is something I have no inkling of...

Celestial Elixir I like a lot, Drowning is a nice tune as well but I like the other ones better. The only song I consider weak is Sun.

Just discovered Haken about 3 days ago (thx too DTF of course) and basically listen too Aquarius and Visions on repeat since then. It´s some of the best prog i´ve heard in a while i tell you!  :hefdaddy

Regarding those "weird sections" i just wanna say: that´s what i love about good prog, you never now what too expect!  Therefore i give it a  :tup

Celestial Elixir is my favourite at the moment!  :metal

So it's safe to assume that the event taking place on the Aquarius album cover is what the lyrics of Sun are about, right?

Now that I 've given Aquarius a proper chance I thinkit's a pretty amazing album, only a few lyrics slightly bother me along with a couple of slightly sub par vocal deliverys.

From Aquarius

Streams
The Point of no Return
Aquarium
Eternal Rain
Celestial Elixir
Drowning in the Flood
Sun

Ooh so close to my ranking. I would swap Sun and Drowning in the flood.
Streams is just awesome, it's got it all. Happy verses, triumphant chorus/main theme and that dirty, dirty, horrible sounding awesomeness of the minor section.

My intrest for Aquarius wanes when i get to drowning in the flood, the songs after it are cool but that one kinda kills the flow for me. Consequently i will say Visions is the better album.
It is damn close though.
