Something may surface though, there was a guy stood in front of us who seemed to be taking some videos on his phone, although the quality would probably be pretty lame anyway.

Dude, it was so epic. The sound kept getting louder and louder throughout the show (every time the sound guy evened up the instruments, he always seemed to do it by making the quietest one louder!) so by that song it was a wall of sound - the choruses sounded incredible.

Yeah, while I prefer Drowning in the Flood as an overall song (more coherent), the CE chorus is one of the greatest things in music.

I really needa get tickets for Night of Prog if they're not sold out yet. Idk who I should go with though, I couldn't go alone (for many reasons - main reason being my family wouldn't let me). I know only one person who would even consider doing this with me, I needa contact him abt this lol.

Haken...
I found this band absurdly good.
The outrageous mid-song changes in key, style, and time-signature should not be able to come together and work so well! Haken made it be though...
Favorite song has to be Celestial Elixir, though for anyone new to the band I would recommend the FIRST TRACK THROUGH THE SEVENTH.

Yeah it sounds like Ross' lyrics are more thematic this time (the theme being dreams), rather than a story-based concept. And I remember in an interview that Nick from here did with Hen ages ago he said that the new stuff was a bit heavier and more guitar driven.

Having heard a few of the songs live, I would probably concur with that description, although one was a slower song. The others friggin' rock!

Ah that's a shame! In that case you should join me at High Voltage in London a few weeks later instead - no Haken but DT are playing and a bunch of other excellent bands.

They're currently recording (I think drums are done) so no release date yet. But they're not big enough to have the label sit on the album for months, so I imagine once it's completed it should be released reasonably soon after that!

Alright, so, bumping this thread to say that Celestial Elixir is an amazing song and almost outshines everything else on Aquarius imo. So many great melodic sections, an awesome chorus, and numerous insane parts.

This band is very fun and very talented, however I feel that at some points the music drags on or the vocals don't completely suit the music, but overall, it's good stuff. Can't wait to see what they put out next.

The first clip of the piano being recorded is from the song Suicide Note, which they played at their gig back in March. It sounds like a great song, can't wait to hear a studio version!
