The Mountain will be released in the US on 17th September. But don't worry if you're not interested because GTA V comes out on the same day!!!!!! Best day ever? Probably.

Haken > GTA

I seriously listen to this album every day.

Also-- at college, I'm part of this really sweet a Capella group and one of my friends is transposing Because It's There for us to do. I'll get a video in the future if we actually pull it off!

We've been working hard on a top secret music video for one of the tracks from The Mountain. We KNOW you're gonna love it and if you don't, Diego will eat his sombrero!

Any guesses concerning what song they mean? I'm hoping it's not Atlas Stone.

Went on a road trip earlier today and listened to this album straight through. I am blown away and Haken just earned themselves another permanent fan. Great music!

Yeah they've already done videos for Atlas Stone and Pareidolia. I'm guessing Falling Back To Earth?

Probably In Memoriam, but that's just because it would make a good single. It surprised me they didn't choose this one to release up front.

My money's on In Memoriam as well. It has the most commercial appeal of any Haken song to date (while still being awesome).

Hmm, didn't they mention in an interview or something that the video was for Cockroach King? Unfortunately I cannot find a link to that now, but I'm pretty sure I either read it or dreamed I did so...

Are you sure you TOTALLY agree with it? Even when the reviewer described DT music as "void of creativity, insipid, lacking in feel, and often only an exercise in form".

if he's talking about most of their music post-SDOIT then for the most part, yes, unfortunately

if he's talking about their entire discography... NOPE

I'm actually quite convinced that I will like the new Haken more than the new DT based on what I've heard from DT thus far. it'd be sweet if they proved me wrong though.

The Mountain's growing on me to the point it's passed Visions, but I don't think it'll top Aquarius. Still a little quirky in ways that make me go "that's just quirky" though.  :lol

My favorite moment on the album is probably when the chorus of Cockroach King first comes in. There's all this build up to something each verse with the "the hunter draws closer to his prey..." line and then BOOM! THE COCKROACH KING SITS ON HIS THRONE. Other than that probably the "climb, find your way, scale high, don't look back" ending to Because It's There.

I can't stop listening to this album.  It's beautiful, well-written, and continually entertaining.  These guys have a really  bright future ahead, I think.

Funny, I have been listening to it on Spotify, and only today realized it was out in the US yet - I gotta get a physical copy ASAP!

Oh - favorite moment right now I think is the opening a cappella section of Because It's There.  I wasn't expecting it at all - best surprise in my music listening in awhile.

Because It's There from start to finish is amazing, and it's the song that made me stop, listen to it, and begin to absorb what Haken was doing this time. It's amazing.

During the midst of my DT marathon, I started doing a Haken run to prepare for my copy to (hopefully) arrive on Tuesday. Yesterday I listened to Enter the 5th Dimension, and I'm about to pop in Aquarius now. :metal

I think you made a mistake by not-listening to it yet. With the US street date being so close to DT12, this album will ruin your initial experience with DT12.

I already listened to it a few times when it was streaming. :P I got familiar enough with it that it won't affect my initial DT12 experiences.
