Yep, exciting stuff! I believe Jens Bogren has finished mixing the album, so I'm assume we'll be getting confirmation of the name and tracklist (which hopefully is pretty close to what we guessed from the anagrams), plus maybe cover art and release date.

Yeah, he's pretty good, and can make things sound really kick-ass. I kinda wish he would mix a little bit more dynamic sometimes though and bring in some air, a lot of what he has mixed tends to be very in your face and full sounding at all times.

Bogren did a very good job with the last Leprous album, Coal. His stuff is as overcompressed as everything in the music industry, but at least he knows when to stop to prevent clipping artefacts and a lot of compression goes hand-in-hand with the music Leprous make.
Let's see how this turns out...

Falling Back To Earth was the only one we didn't get from the anagrams!

Also, album art from their Facebook page:

EDIT: beaten to it by Zydar. That's what happens when I get engrossed in discussions at work!

Commenting on the album, Richard Henshall (guitar/keyboards) and Charlie Griffiths (guitar) had this to say: “Lyrically, we’ve done a lot of soul searching which has given the album an emotional depth that we’re sure listeners will really relate to, whatever personal mountain they are climbing.

“Musically, the new songs feel rawer and more emotional than anything we’ve created in the past. All the essential elements of our sound are still there, but have been delivered in a more gritty and focussed style”.

Must try very hard not to listen to any of Haken's albums or demo until September  :omg:

Speaking of the demo, any news on when the official release of it will be coming out? It's supposed to be remastered, right?

Once again, an album is finished but held behind closed doors for more than two months because the record label must perform some "marketing".

I'd really like to make a short poll, hand it out to all my friends on September 1st and then force some record executives to think about the result:
Quote
So you know Haken?
Do you know about the albums Aquarius and Visions?
Do you know about the album The Mountain?
The album wasn't released on iTunes until tomorrow for marketing. Are you going to buy it tomorrow?

Good thing it's released before DT's new album that gives me something to listen to for the month while I wait.

Like the title, a little sad the classic Haken text isn't on the cover but other than that the cover is awesome.

This will most likely be better than DT12. Just like Haken's other two albums are better than anything DT has done.

I almost think that the new font for the band name could be better to attract more prog fans.
I discovered Haken by reading a review that described them as exactly the type of band I like. But looking at the font on the cover of Aquarius made me think of a screamo symphonic  power metal band. Therefore I placed the band lower on my "to listen to" list. Now that I know them, I like how the evil font provides a contrast to the beautiful music they make.

Yeah, first time I heard Haken was when I was listening through a lot of random bands and then I just thought I'd pick an album cover that looked ridiculous and I chose Aquarius. Because honestly, the cover of Aquarius is pretty silly. But I was so surprised by how good the music was that I was almost in chock for the rest of the day.

Font/artwork didn't influence me getting into Haken much. That said, I miss the old font and the cover doesn't do much for me. However, I anticipate this album just as much as DT12. September is gonna rock  :metal

I love the cover, and even the font. I feel like the man pushing the boulder should be a bit bolder (no pun intended...) though; it took me a long time to realize that little detail was even there.

I got it right away, and I saw the track title "Because it's there" which sounds like it could be the track that inspired the cover.
