A Little Clarification Thread - FAKE

I've found it weird that no mods have said anything on the matter either.

I'm starting to think that we're getting punked here.

Maybe they're trying to figure out what to do.  This is a highly sensitive situation, isn't it?

That's a possibility, but its in my nature to be distrustful in situations like this. I dunno, something doesn't seem right. I'd expect hef or Nick to post in the thread by now, at least a post telling everyone to chill.

And yes, that's what I mean about being punked. I've just always felt uncomfortable in situations like this and I tend to be very suspicious of things around myself. Maybe I am looking to much into it, but its in my own nature to constantly question things like this.

Someone made a thread that was call A Little Clarification. The person who made it had the account name Portnoy and had the same profile picture and same writing format as MP over on his forum. He was commenting on the JLB interview. Thus admin locks it and tells us it is fake.

Someone at 5/8 screencapped the troll's post. It was definitely a blatant trolling attempt that made Mike seem like the root of all the bands' issues. I don't want to post the screencap here, since it was removed, but basically the gist of it was "I got kicked out over creative differences. The band wanted to go back to the style of the Scenes from a Memory type days, and I wasn't into that." The thing that made it interesting was that Mike's font and picture were basically the same as they are on MP.com. Even the posting style was the same, kinda written like this:

The thing that definitely gave it away was Mike would have had to know the forums secret emoticons. Which is HIGHLY unlikely.

Someone pretended to be Mike Portnoy at my KM forum last week, but I caught it right away because the week before he pretended to be Kevin's dad.  It was the same guy and I recognized his email address and deleted the posts.  He had the same MP photo and such as at the MP forums.  Maybe it's the same person.
