Fair enough final writeups, I'm not gonna give you shit for any of that but I'm sure some people will. Still, I agree with your writeups on all the songs I've heard from those except zxlkho's, but I see no point complaining at you for it. Good roulette overall, even if the last round took a while, thanks for hosting!  :tup

I kinda just gave up on writing write ups for instrumentals, plus, this entire thing has left a bad taste in my mouth and it is mostly my fault...so...I'm sorry. Seriously.

WHEN YOU SEE THE GREAT FAIL
BREAK YOUR BACKS AND CRACK YOUR OARS MEN
IF YOU WISH TO PREVAIL

THIS IVORY LEG IS WHAT PROPELS ME
HARPOONS THRUST IN THE SKYYYYYYYY
AIM DIRECTLY FOR HIS CROOKED BROW
AND LOOK HIM STRAIGHT IN THE EYEEEEEEEEEEE

WHITE
WHALE
HOLY
GRAIL

stfu Blood and Thunder kicks ass if you were able to look past PtH's vocals you can look past Mastodon's :P

Good to see you at least got it finished.  Now I can pester Antigoon for being a noob about something if he manages to fail in HIS roulette.

SHIT now I'm so mad that I was so cautious and wagered only 8 points!  >:( :(

Ah well. Glad you liked it Cole...the vocals on that album are amazing (they're not the same people in the movie, though).

Why do you think I bet it all?

Seriously, this is why wager rounds don't work, and why I'm not doing it.  I worked up a big lead only to have the whole thing ride on one song.  It works for Jeopardy! because it is possible for one player to put the game out of reach before Final Jeopardy.  To everyone who runs a roulette in the future, don't do wagers.  Do regular points, double points, a playoff...but don't do wagers.  They just don't work in this format.

Or just leave it tie...It's more about the music than having an actual winner, IMO.

Dislike:

LieLowTheWantedMan-Mastodon-Bloody and Thunder: Let me preface this by saying that I loved Cracke the Skye as a whole album. In fact, I thought it was one of the better albums of the year, but this didn't do it for me. I loved the riffery but I couldn't dig the vocals. I think I need to stick with Mastodon now, not in the past.

wat??
Everyone else, except Wolfking is wrong.

Numbers, just because you don't like some of this stuff now doesn't mean you should write it off forever.  Sometimes something doesn't click with you now, but it will later down the line.  Some bands I really like I didn't like when I first heard them.  Sometimes you just need to wait until you can appriciate something, or your taste evolves to something that is makes it less of a reach outside your musical box to accept.

I'm more dissapointed you didn't like Therion than I am at not winning...but I wasn't going to send something from a band that's already been sent (sometimes on more than one occasion) just to win.

I never said I didn't like Therion. I did not like that song. There was a steady rotation of about 10 songs that I really dug when I was into them. I just forgot what they were. Son of the Staves of Time is still a rocker though.
