Bands you feel only have one or two good songs
« on: September 26, 2010, 09:58:52 AM »
Self explanatory.

There are some artists in my collection that I only have a few songs for because those are the only ones I like

For example:

The Outlaws: (Ghost) Riders In The Sky, Green Grass and High Tides

What about you guys?

Nah, but in all seriousness, Rush.

Wait for it...

Coheed & Cambria.  And A Perfect Circle to some extent, they've only got three or four I'd consider great.

WTF

I mean I understand if it's not your cup of tea but asides from their first album they are really constant!

And just because I'm curious; what's the one or two good songs you like by them?

What, APC have a handful of great songs and then loads of more generic sounding ones. And Coheed admittedly I haven't check out fully, but from what I heard it was basically two or three standouts and then loads of forgettable tracks.

I think I'm gonna go ahead and echo the C&C posts here.  The only album I still have in my library by them is Good Apollo 1, with the only two songs of theirs I still enjoy by them being "Welcome Home" and "The Final Cut."

I would, but I just have so much other music to check out that I know I have a greater likeliness of enjoying.

Well then I'm confused...I though you'd say songs like Silence or ADC (Which are really different from their other stuff in style)...To each his own I guess :\

(I'm sorry if this post sounded harsh but I really have a hard time finding a post-Utopia song by them that is anything short of great)

Maybe I should add to that. They have more like 4 or 5 great songs, the others are somewhat boring.

Also,
I hope that changes when their next album comes out.
