Why are you still talking to this guy?
Hef is right on all things. Except for when I disagree with him. In which case he's probably still right.

That's what I'm wondering. It's one thing to find out during a conversation that somebody is a moron, it's another thing to continue talking to him.

Nah, I've been friends with this guy for like 7 or 8 years now. He's always been a little off, but hes still a good buddy. He has just gotten really bad over the last year or so. We both had a friend of ours die about a year ago (I made a thread about it recently), he considered the guys his first and best friend. He's been really fucked in the head since. So the increase in craziness is something we all have just kind of tolerated, its starting to get really bad though.

Appeasement is always the best strategy when faced with increasing craziness, Europe knows this.

Just thought I'd share this little bit with you guys. Quick back story first. Last night I went out with a bunch of friends to a bar for someone's birthday. I for the first time never drank at a bar. I had a cake in my car and went outside to grab it to bring in. While out there I hear someone yell something. I look over and see this woman go flying and hit her head really good on the pavement. A guy picks her up, throws her into a car, and hold her head against the car while yelling at her. So I go over and confront the dude. He gives me all this crap about how wasted she is, which was extremely true but did not warrant a potential beating in the middle of the parking lot. The guy says make sure she gets home okay (they live together) and takes off. I call the police and ended up having to stay in the police station for a good 2 hours as a witness.

This is the short convo I had this morning, same dude as earlier in the thread.

Either have a chat with his loved ones and discern the best way to help this idiot or sever all ties. This guy is dumb.

Chino, having a history with someone is only a reason to put up with some of their shit.  It sounds like your "friend" is just plain ignorant.  Chances are if you keep him around, he's going to cause you some big trouble.  He'll say something stupid at the wrong time, and you may potentially have to pay the price.  It sounds like you're getting no benefit from his friendship at this point, so why continue to put up with him?  Cut the ties, and if he gets his head straight and realizes he was being an ignorant racist, give him another chance.
