Hello Everyone & here is SHADOW GALLERY.
« on: September 22, 2010, 08:22:33 AM »
Hi Everyone,

I Hope everyone is well!

Firstly let me introduce myself, Twang wierd name I know but when there are 14 Jons in the building people have to be a bit creative, could've been worse of course. ;D

I'm kind of lucky as I have a brilliant venue at my disposal, so, why not create a live Progressive music club and call it The House of Progression. It's goal was to get top artists and give them a place to play that re-created the legendary Marquee Club Wardour St, London UK. I started really small then rose to getting Twelth Night, Pendragon, Frost*, It Bites, FISH, Threshold,Touchstone the list is endless. No stupid venue overheads, no charging the artists to sell merch and beer at pub prices not expensive club prices, not herding the audience out after the show, allowing them to meet and greet the artists, get stuff signed. And give that personal touch. It worked and the venue got major reviews for shows. The World got to hear of it and the bands come.

This show I'm very, very excited about. I sold my soul to get it and I'd quite like it back to use for the next one. If I survive this one of course. I give you.

SHADOW GALLERY'S First ever UK Show on Sunday 3rd October at The Peel www.houseofprogression.com for details.

Thanks for reading.

I must say that it sounds like an awesome club. If I lived in London, I would definitely visit it sometime.

Woah that's pretty cool, I'll see if I can pop down for that.

The Peel rocks as well. I assume it's not 18+?

We can get 16+ people in for this show but the law states they must carry photo I.D. with birthdate on. Yes I've got tickets. It's selling well but I need to sell this out. I got the show quite late and I really want Shadow Gallery's first UK experiance to be a very welcome one. (see poster for details)

It's not everyday you get to work with a U.S. band such as this, I'm doing it single handed but I must say the media have been very, very supportive. It's the band and the audience that matter the most!

Haken? I actually wanted them to open for this but the package wouldn't allow it. (Hang on that sounds like a line from Star Wars)

I really want Haken to do a show at House of Progression again. ;D

Yeah, but this is the Peel so the chances of being ID'd are fairly low I'd reckon! No offence!

I'd like to come because this show is clearly a pretty big deal but I'm not sure if I'll be able to afford it tbh. Will Banquet have tickets?

This. I wish there were some venues like that around here.

The only things stopping me is that The Peel isn't the easiest venue to get to, and I have college the next day. Still weighing up the pros and cons.

:lol YOU'D BETTER!

I don't actually know if it ever functions as a strip club anymore, but that's where it got its name anyway.

There will be badged security on the door so do bring photo I.D. then there is no problem. This is a House of Progression show so tickets are available through the venue as stated on the poster.

It is very well served by public transport with trains to Waterloo taking 35mins. www.houseofprogression.com has detailed directions. There are also night busses from opposite the venue to Trafalger Square, but the show will end before that will ensure you get train connections.
