Arizona Cardinals fight against pot.

Curious as to what other opinions on this topic are.

I for one can't believe it. What is the motive behind this? Shouldn't football teams be more concerned about drugs that can actually harm you?

I'm guessing the AZ Cardinals don't give two craps about medical marijuana.

It's just a silly billionaire owner blowing money on what he thinks is a civic duty.  The team itself is just as drug-fueled as any other professional franchise.
Argument, the presentation of reasonable views, never makes headway against conviction, and conviction takes no part in argument because it knows.

if my giants did this, i think i would stop being their fan. it's not a sports franchises' business to butt their head into medicine. if the pain killers were in question, i wonder if they would go against that too, we'll see their faces on monday morning with all the pain.

But whats the motive? It's not like ten grand will make a difference, and it makes him look like a tool in a lot of people's eyes. Go donate that money to illnesses that are killing four year olds or something.

Hey, I agree that his efforts are seriously misguided, but it's an area where he thinks he can make a difference.  Fact is, a couple of those 10k donations can fund a TV commercial linking marijuana to al qaeda death squads or something.

And these referendums are usually pretty close, and I suspect Arizona will be closer than most, so he only looks like an asshole to 55% or so.
