Why do I feel like the name Nick Drake is some bad Disney channel actor's name?

The Suite Life Of Nick Drake

Anyway, that wasn't a bad song, but it's still not really my thing. At least his voice doesn't sound like ass.

He's really good. I like what I've heard from him.

'Pink Moon' is a masterpiece.

This. The other two albums are awesome too.

Five Leaves Left is excellente.

Cello Song is my fav. I might have to get Pink Moon.

I love all three of his albums. Bryter Layter is my favorite, and I was kind of surprised to see that it was regarded as the weakest of the three among many fans. Guess it must be the strings/brass.

Reading some reviews of Pink Moon...

He's got to be one of the best guitarists to ever walk this planet. And to anyone who claims otherwise... look, normally I wouldn't do this, but have you tried playing in the tunings he uses? You have to completely relearn the guitar, which pretty much meant Nick was relearning the guitar on every song here. And not only did he manage it, he also managed to create fantastic guitar passages while doing so. For me, the best riffs on this record are "Free Ride," "Road," and "Which Will." He's better than that fuck from Dream Theater, and don't let anyone tell you different. Dream Theater really blows, by the way.

(Loving his guitar playing though... I already knew of him, just never heard any songs)

Bump.

I've been getting into this guy over the past two or three months.

Despite liking a good chunk of his music, there's also a fair bit I'm indifferent to. I was listening to his full albums for a while to see if I'd warm to the other stuff, but I've now given up, and am just thrashing this playlist:

Time Has Told Me
River Man
Three Hours
Thoughts of Mary Jane
Cello Song
Hazey Jane I
One of These Things First
At the Chime of a City Clock
Poor Boy
Northern Sky
Pink Moon
Place to Be
Road
Which Will
Things Behind the Sun
