Yes, but can it learn "Rape"? Because then we really have the move Nick would use.

Well, she had to use up all her moves before she could use "Struggle".

Man, I was just writing a cover letter to go along with a resume so I could make money over the summer, but then I started thinking "Hydreigon is really cool, and really good, I should build a team around him.  Hey, Jellicent the pringle man would be a good partner!  Now if we started with a Ferrothorn to set up spikes/leech seed and to account for Jellicent's grass weakness that would be great.  Oh!  Fire type!  We need one!  What about a scarfed Heatran?  Brilliant!  Now we have a fighting weakness though...oh man Terrakion looks awesome, or maybe sub Heatran for Infernape.  Need something switch in on water types if Ferrothorn dies though.  Oh hello Zapdos..."

This went on for about thirty minutes and I still haven't decided on final dudes for this awesome team.

I can't put this game down. Just got to the hipster city and need to train up my team a bit. Does anyone else try to get six right off the bat and train them all up or just stick with a few?

Depends. If I know the game really well, I'll wait a bit before so I can get Pokemon that I know are good. Otherwise, I'll generally just get whatever.

I get all the nicknames except Charlie.

Coheed and Cambria is an amazing band.
Iain is Harry.
Klap traps are the little crocodile things from the Donkey Kong games, right?
Darkwing is for Darkwing Duck.

Also, I'm amazed at how high your pokemon are.  I'm about to tackle the last gym and all my guys are level 41-43, though I might have to train up a Druddigon so I'm not completely destroyed.  Stupid dragons.

Why would you name the fighting pig after a unicorn?  It would make more sense to name a Samurott Charlie...

EDIT: GUYS!  I'm conflicted.  I just caught Virizion (Grass/Fighting Legendary)  Calm nature.  Now, that would be incentive enough to restart, looking for a timid or jolly nature, but its got a 31 atk IV, 28 SpA IV, and 30 Speed IV.  Should I restart looking for an optimal nature or just make my own damn Virizion support set AHHHHHHHHHHH?  Considering how long it took to catch the damn thing I really don't want to...

(I don't normally stress over this, but this is a legendary.  Only one I can get.  They have to count.)

Ah whatever, I can just buy White version later and try in that game.  I'll probably have a few master balls by then where I can just restart at my own leisure.

I only found myself having to grind once right before the first or second gym.  Haven't had to really grind since then (apart from leveling up Sandile and Litwick when I first got 'em)

Don't cut my nuts off for this, but I have absolutely zero interest in getting Black and White right now, mainly because I never played Diamond and Pearl (and I only got halfway through Ruby). I'm feeling nostalgic and want to revisit Gold, and my local Gamestop has a used copy of Heartgold for like 20 bucks.

Yeah, seriously. For some reason this game reminds me of the first time I played through Gold actually.

Also, when you get to a certain part of the game, someone will give you your friend code, which you can then use to battle and trace with other people. Not sure where it is in HeartGold though, as I actually haven't played that one.

Why is everyone getting White, and why is Black getting shunned? I thought the games were identical except for certain Pokemon not appearing in one or the other, so why is there a major favoritism being shown for one of them? Is there something badass White has that Black doesn't have?

Black is supposed to be more industrialized, while White is more open I guess. I have Black but I haven't played it yet, just White.

...What the hell does that even mean? Industrialized and open?

Golly gee I sure am asking a lot of questions, but I'm quite clueless about Pokemon right now. I just haven't been keeping up with it lately.

The towns are supposed to be more developed or something. Where as in White, they are more "open", there aren't as many buildings.

I think.

I chose White simply because I wanted some of the pokemon in there rather than the ones in Black.

That's an incredibly bizarre concept for Pokemon.

Didn't know that thing about the towns.

Also, where exactly do you get your friend code?  No one's deliberately come up to give it to me.

It's in the Pal Pad. You get it when you get the C Gear.
