The fuck is this doing on page 2?
Right, team comparisons. What are everyone's main teams?
As of right now...
1. Torterra (Earthquake / Crunch / Synthesis / Razor Leaf)
2. Rampardos (Rock Slide / Earthquake / Zen Headbutt / Head Smash)
3. Honchkrow (Wing Attack / Haze / Dark Pulse / Night Shade)
4. Alakazam (Psychic / Recover / Shock Wave / Shadow Ball)
5. Golduck (Surf / Amnesia / Psych Up / Zen Headbutt)
It's generally a team of five, the sixth is more ad hoc - I'll either use the final slot for HMs, a particular type, or training. When I beat the Elite Four I used a Snorlax, with Giga Impact / Block / Rollout / Crunch, which is a fairly poor moveset, but it was in place more as an excuse to give me a chance to heal the rest of my team, and maybe sneak in the odd Giga Impact before switching out.
Not entirely sure about my movesets in general. Quite a lot of psychic moves, quite a lot of dark moves, two earthquakes (although EQ's one of the strongest moves, so you know) and a handful of weaker ones. Wing Attack and Razor Leaf in particular are attacks that I've settled for, rather than opted for.
That's my current Soul Silver team, by the way. Was originally a Diamond team, but I decided to adopt them when I made the progression, and they've kind of remained where I left them.
Quite interested to see what everyone else's teams look like. They definitely say something about people - it's just hard to tell precisely what.
Meanwhile, on Diamond...
1. Infernape (Flame Wheel / Swords Dance / Close Combat / Mach Punch)
2. Drifblim (Fly / Shadow Ball / Shock Wave / Explosion)
3. Skuntank (Slash / Toxic / Night Slash / Flamethrower)
4. Bronzong (Extrasensory / Iron Defense / Confuse Ray / Gyro Ball)
5. Gastrodon (Surf / Recover / Ice Beam / Mud Bomb)
6. Tangrowth (Mega Drain / Stun Spore / Psych Up / Swagger)
Tangrowth in particular needs work, however fond I am of Psych Up. Really like the first four, though. 'Specially Drif, Skun and Bronz. Gastrodon would be good without Mud Bomb. I think as a general rule, I go for pokemon which are fairly strong, but not conventionally strong. A little bit offbeat. Like Rampardos, thoroughly vulnerable but with an enormous attack stat. Or the ridiculously sluggish yet defensively impeccable Bronzong. I don't go for the strongest pokemon so much as the bizarre-but-capable ones. Don't like to duplicate types, either.
(I'm getting back into Pokemon again - can you tell? Think it's 'cause I'm really excited for Black and White.)
