 :lol

I dunno why but I'm absolutely losing my shit after picturing a scene I dreamed of the anime in which there's a really buff Oshawott and a tiny little trainer and he's trying to control this level 100 beast and he yells 'DO IT! HYDRO PUMP HIM, OSHAWOTT!!!' and the Oshawott god stands there, big brawny back to the tiny little boy, he slowly turns his head... "OSHA...

WHAT!?"

:rollin :rollin :rollin :lol I am way too fucking high... and yeah I woke up out of my dreamy state to tell you people this... back to ZZzzZZZz

Ohhhhh YAYAYAYAYAYAY!!

Looks so damn sexy. I love the animations. My body. Is. Ready.

I'm glad the Fairy-type is real, that sounded awesome and it looks to be even more awesome than I originally thought; great addition. Other than that....CHARIZARD IN 3D FJAWPO9ETIHJWADLKNGASOIGHADFISAOIYFDJ

P.S. We should totally change the thread title to The Pokemon Thread v. X & Y

That vid gave me goosebumps. holy crap I am excited. Haven't been this excited for a NEW incarnation since Ruby/Sapphire.
I just don't understand what they were trying to achieve with any part of the song, either individually or as a whole. You know what? It's the Platypus of Dream Theater songs. That bill doesn't go with that tail, or that strange little furry body, or those webbed feet, and oh god why does it have venomous spurs!? And then you find out it lays eggs too. The difference is that the Platypus is somehow functional despite being a crazy mishmash or leftover animal pieces

Yeah! Man! From the presence of so many old school pokémon in the first trailer, I was slightly concerned this game might not be quite as revolutionary as BW. So completely wrong - they are drinking their juice at Game Freak! New type, horde mode, customisation, sky battles, and how cool do all the new pokémon look?! I want a Noivern. Nah, I want about seven.

Once again, rather than just phoning in a new game, they've really looked at every beat of the experience and gone, "How can this be even more fun?" Brilliant. So stoked.

I'm really loving this gen's designs.
How cool is that little bird evolution amirite?
I imagined the story to go more like this.

I was sitting a traffic light blaring Space Dye Vest and next to me in another car was Kevin Moore. And I'll never be open again.

For real, I have never been this excited about a Pokemon game before. Red/Blue just came outa nowhere and I didn't read gaming mags, same for G/S; since then I haven't been into the series too much, though Black/White are incredibly fun I only just got into them. So it's awesomely awesome to be this giddy over a game that I cherished so much as a kid. This is looking better and better with every reveal. *splosion*

Panda bought me Black 2 today as a little surprise. I had to through Black 1 in the DS just to refresh my memory. I honestly didn't remember much of the game... Apparently I beat it (or got close ?)

It's all coming back to me now... lol

This sums me up pretty well, except make B/W Platinum. Silver was my favorite.

Kind of funny - when they were showing all the old pokemon fighting in the reveal trailer, I'd kind of started to worry that maybe X and Y were going to be thin on the ground on innovations compared to Black and White. Like all their energies might've been spent on upgrading it to 3D. Oh my word, they were just getting started.

Names are terrible - seems to just be the original pokemon with "Mega" bolted on - but I have loved Mawile far more than its stats for a very long time. A dragon-slaying new type and... that! might finally get it out of the box.

An evolution for a three-stage pokemon is something I was never expecting, so I'm glad to see one for Ampharos, but of all the pokemon that need it... Blaziken?! And they've given it Speed Boost, the ability that got it banned from competitive battle simulations?

Hold me.

They've literally made one of my favorite Pokemon into an angel of death. I've been using the same Absol since Sapphire and I can't wait to turn it into that.

Also I pre-ordered X at Gamestop today and got a poster for it. In case anyne's interested in doing that.

Hell yeah, it's insane what they're doing with this game. It is truly a rebirth of the series; at least that's what I'm hoping for, and thus far they seem to be on the path of deliverance!

Also, check out this cuteness, it's insane:

Wait WHAT!?  :o I pre-ordered X so damn long ago and I never got a poster! Where at, Nel? Do you know if it's a promotion that all Gamestops/EBGames are doing or if it's just Gamestop?

Well, my friend works there, and we were talking when I stopped in today. He had a big pile of Pokemon X & Y posters and told me I could have one if I preordered, so I did. I don't know if it was an announced promotion or what, Tio. I hadn't heard a thing about that until today.

And yes, every generation requires some mutant Pikachu thing.  :lol

Ahh...Hmm. I'll have to look into that. Perhaps I can barter a bit, the only EB Games close to me is one I used to work at a while back  :P

Oh yeah, most definitely...funny thing too, thus far it doesn't seem to be related to Pikachu at all. It's an Electric/Fairy type called Dedenne (Japanese name only).

I'm all for the Mega-forms, but the name is what has been a little sour. Seems a bit lazy, but then again perhaps they wanted it to be simple. After all, this is designed for kids primarily, despite them being very good at keeping it relevant to the generations that grew up with Red/Blue. I love the looks, but yeah it'd be a lot more interesting if they had actual names...although...this may be more storyline-related and it's not an actual 'evolution' but a different type of transformation altogether. Serebii.net says the evolution is literally called "Mega-Evolution", so it sounds like this is an actual form through the guise of evolution, if that makes any sense. Still the same 'being', but powered up enough to be called an evolution. In that light, it makes sense, so hopefully it's explained in the game and it's not just...super-mega-form so power.

It looks like a cross between Hamtaro and Raichu. :lol

Also, that Ampharos design is pretty ridiculous. :lol Looks like Fabio. If it's not named Amphabio I'm gonna be disappointed.

All of the mega-forms are simply named "Mega-'Name Of Pokemon' ". This is for the Japanese version though, so perhaps NOA will stamp a fresh name on these new forms. They've been known to change up minor aesthetics of the NA version of the game. I hope they do...it's a little boring, those names.

Yes! I was thinking of Fabio too!  :lol

I'm just glad I was a kid for Pokemon and not for Skylanders. All I have to buy is a $40 game, not a bunch of $100+ statue packs. We were talking about that at Gamestop too. My poor buddy is absolutely dreading the next few months. Think of all the stuff coming out and you'll know why.  :xbones
