Speaking of which, what does the "nature" of a Pokemon matter? Does it make any difference at all?

Yes it does. Ultimately it'll increase one of the stats by 10% and decrease another by 10%.

In the case of my Jolteon, the modest nature will increase the special attack stat and decrease the attack stat.

Natures don't really matter unless you're going competitive. I've never once paid attention to them and I haven't had a single issue crushing every Pokemon game I've ever played.
Orion....that's the one with a bunch of power chords and boringly harsh vocals, isn't it?

True. The games themselves are easy enough to where you can completely ignore  IV's, EV's, or natures.

Agreed. I wish there was a mid level battling, because competitive battling is too tough for me and the game is way too easy once you get past the first few gyms

Wasn't that what they tried to do with the Battle Tower and similar features?

Personally I think there are quite a lot of changes. But instead of trying to remember them all, here's a link that will show you the differences pretty much:

Why make a Pokemon Grey and when you can double the profit with a full-blown sequel in two more versions?  :lol

Well, as much as Unova as a region bores me, I did like the story, so it will be nice to see if this brings N back into the fold and shows what he's up to. And it looks as if Reshiram and Zekrom have fused with that Kyuurem (I can't remember the spelling).
Hire me. I'm talentless but malleable.

Really? I'm excited about it. I don't think the pokemon count really needs to go up again so soon, and it's not like it's the first pokemon sequel.

So the expanded remake is just going to be Black and White 2?  And Kyurem has fused with the other two legendaries?  Interesting.  Wonder how this will affect their stats.  tbh I'm confused more than anything about why there are two instead of the traditional one (oh wait, money.  Nevermind I know now!) but I'll probably buy them both since Black and White, IMO, were the best pokemon games evar.

You're one of the few I've come across that prefers one of the latter generations to the earlier ones.  :P
While I enjoy Black/White, I would still rank Gold/Silver/Crystal higher, those were the golden days of Pokemon IMO. I don't know, I guess one thing that might affect my opinion a lot is my own experience and history related to it, because I have very fond memories of playing through Gen 1 and 2, and also following the anime back then. Those warm memories might change my outlook on the rest. While I think that Black/White are good games, I think that in terms of Pokemon, the B/W-ones aren't as "exciting" or original as the first two generations.

I'm disappointed because it's going to be another ds release.  They're wasting so much potential not making it a 3ds title.

I found and restarted Yellow yesterday. Memories and frustrations, damn Brock was hard to beat with Pikachu and Pidgey.

Speaking of new Pokemon games, am I the only person who wants a Yellow remake? They missed the boat on that with FR/LG

I feel like if they actually do this right, the two sequels could be absolutely amazing. There was a lot left unsaid at the end of B&W.

It's the two game thing that bugs me. I can't think of any reason they would need to split it into two different games. Just a ploy to get even more money from fans of the series, as I imagine the changes between the two are going to be pretty much the same as the current differences between black and white...

3 games per generation is fine, but 4 is a ploy to get more money?
