just finished opening a box of Storm front (Diamond Pearl I think)

And only two Level X's. damnit...shoulda been more.

The Heatran X, and the Dusk one....

some good other cards though...foily Infurnape..we already had an Infurnape lvl X from somewhere else and a couple big Steelix's....also there's a huge Mamoswine with this attack that does 60, the +10 more for every swinub, +20 for every pillowswine, and +40 for every other mamo on your bench. If I could get a good draw, and stuff...man that would so some damage.

So it's official. They're remaking Ruby and Saphire. It seems that these will be the last of the remakes.

bleh. I'll buy Sapphire since I never owned it, but the third gen was easily my least favorite. Maybe some of the retouched will make it a better game, hopefully.

Okay, this is very weird. I just found out that my friend is the Pokemon world champion. Like THE world champion for the past two years. I've known him for a couple years, and I looked up some videos on YouTube...and it's just so weird to see him being, well, famous. Like he has tons of fans and everything.

Nice. I will get the remake of Sapphire, I think. I keep wanting to play the gen III again, but the internal batteries of all my carts have died.

Also: That's awesome, Implode.

Have you seen the online trading card game? It's pretty neat, all new booster packs and decks come with codes that you can use to obtain online boosters/decks. The game itself on the website is a bit clunky, but seeing as its just a beta, I think it has potential. I've managed to waste a few hours there on just the single player modes.

When I was a kid, they used to have Pokemon card tournaments every Saturday morning at Toys R Us. I didn't go every weekend but I went quite a bit. It was cool to trade and battle with other people, because none of my friends knew how to actually play the game, they just liked collecting the cards.  :P I even won one of the local tournaments for my age bracket, I had a killer lightning and grass deck. I still have it somewhere actually...

I wish my cards were still usable though, they are long outdated at this point  :lol So yeah, maybe check out your local toy store and see if they offer anything

ya..I'm in Ontario/Canada, and the closest club is in Quebec, about an hour drive away.
We went once, it was a bunch of teenagers a dad...it was pretty good actually. Restored my faith in teenagers as an age bracket. They were cool with us, slaughtered us, but in a nice way. Gave my son some extra deck/card covers. They had a couple kids that had one regional tourneys and gone pretty far at the nationals.

the big deck they were using was the magnazone level x deck..it was nasty

Well, he's the champion of the video games, not the TCG. But you get the idea. I've always preferred the card game, but it's hard to keep up with new cards. It takes a big toll on your wallet.

You're friends with Ash Ketchum?

Basically. I can't get over how weird it is. Seeing him in interview and things. he's part of my group of friends that play poker together. And he never talks about it or really mentions it often, so it seems that he's more interested in just playing poker.

So many memories comes back, and it's still hilarious here and there, especially Brock and Ash's behavior sometimes.  :lol

I've been getting back into the card game because some friends of mine play it, and I bought a deck and 3 packs the other day and pulled one of the two ultra rares from the set, and it fits my deck perfectly.  Felt so Radular

I've started buying them used...you don't always get great condition but usually they're ok and parent's don't really know their value, they just want the big box of cards gone......

an Uxie eh?

hmm let me check Gen, I might be able to help if we can set up the friend code thing.

Me too!  :lol I only get to watch on or two a week but I just finished the Pewter City episode. The show isn't as bad as I thought it would be... obviously when I was a little 9 year old kid I ate up the show, but it's actually kind of interesting.

That said, I've seen an episode or two of the newer ones and the quality seems to have completely dropped.  :-\

I have watched in a really high tempo lately, last EP I saw was the one with Hypno and Drowzee, so around ep 26-27 or something. (don't remember exactly)

The show is just hilarious, I lol so hard every time Team Rocket embarrass themselves.  :rollin

Bump.

Okay, so I recently started replaying Pokémon Gold for nostalgia, but I'm having a hard time deciding how I should form my team.
Right now I have one slot I need to fill, I'll post my current team:

*Umbreon (Level 60) (no held item yet)
-Psychic
-Bite
-Faint Attack
-Moonlight

*Lapras (Level 60) (Mystic Water)
-Ice Beam
-Rain Dance
-Mist
-Hydro Pump

*Pikachu (Level 60) (No held item yet)
-Thunderbolt
-Agility
-Thunder
-Iron Tail

*Pidgeot (Level 60) (No held item yet)
-Wing Attack
-Fly
-Steel Wing
-Quick Attack

*Typhlosion (Level 60) (Charcoal)
-Flamethrower
-Flame Wheel
-Swift
-Quick Attack

I'm thinking about either Snorlax, Tyranitar, Dragonite or Aerodactyl for the last spot, I might consider switching out Pidgeot, because I'm not sure how much "use" I will have for just a flying-pokemon.
I also have several moves that I will teach some of my Pokémons, which I haven't had time for yet, for example I'm thinking about getting Hyper Beam for Umbreon (instead of Bite probably), and then I might teach some 'odd' attacks just to not be outnumbered easily, if I remember correct I think Typhlosion can learn Thunderpunch (so I can pwn Water-Pokemon), and I might get Fire Blast.

Any thoughts?  :D

Replace Pidgeot with Dragonite, and I guess you could add Snorlax for some good defense.

I raised one from larvitar/egg to 100 and he was bad ass.

I'm currently raising a Garchomp and a Vaporeon.

Garchomp is Jolly so he has intense speed, moveset:

Earthquake
Outrage
Dragon Claw
Stone Edge

Vaporeon is Bold, which is awesome. Moveset:

Wish
Protect
Roar
Scald

I intend to raise up a Tyranitar and an Excadrill, so with those two and Garchomp I will have a pretty awesome sandstorm team.

...my name is Araragi.
