lol.

Just beat the first gym in White. The story is pretty cool so far, and I'm liking all the new Pokemon, although I'm already having a bit of trouble leveling. (not really enough shit to level on)
space cadet, pull out.

Yep, digging mine right now. Just beat the fifth gym, and got myself quite badly bruised in the Chargestone Cave.

Currently got Dewott, Venipede, Lilligant, Scraggy, Solosis and Archen as a team. Just caught a Joltik, and I've also got Sigilyph, Pansear, Pansage, Panpour and Victini taking up box space, which are sort of the "B-Team" - although I've not been using Victini, 'cause although it's totally legitimate, its stats are far too high. Would make the game too much of a cakewalk, so I've chosen to keep it to one side.

Highest level is Lillgant, which is turning out to be a surprise hero. Only caught it because it leapt out of the long grass at me, already fully evolved, and I'm really liking it. Does mean that it's not got any pre-evo moves, but Mega Drain / Leech Seed / Quiver Dance / Synthesis is pretty good as is.

Loving this game. They've corrected everything that was a bit "off," and the entire thing feels so fresh. The whole game feels "slick." Perfectly balanced, streamlined, never drags, the plot's thicker and the characters less like caricatures. (Looking at you, Barry from Diamond and Pearl).Liking how everything evolves a lot later, too. Feels like the pre-evos get a lot of time to shine, as opposed to being just a minor hurdle that a Pokemon has to jump. Evolution's an event, now. Very, very strong game. Can't believe I've already got five badges, though.

OK we really need to just have one thread.  :lol I'm gonna PM a mod and get the other one locked.

I got Celebi a few minutes ago... had a conversation with the guy at the counter about my awesome Yoshi skin on my DS.  :lol

I preordered White, but I won't get to play it til next weekend sadly.

Gamestop gets special event cartridges that have Celebi on it. They have that DS running with the event cartridge going, and you just go in, select Mystery Gift from the game menu, and you get Celebi.

Tomorrow is the last day they are running it though, so if you want it I'd go soon.

It only took me two seconds, so if you live close enough to a Gamestop it is definitely worth it.

EDIT - Also, if you don't already have mystery gift unlocked, its simple (but really stupid... why would they make it a hidden feature like that?)

Oh yeah, there's one really close to where I live. So I just connect with that DS via wi-fi with my DS or something? I've never used wi-fi on this thing before  :lol

Yup! I never done it before either but it was pretty simple. You just go to Mystery Gift, then Receive gift... I think the next option is "Connect via Wireless" and you get Celebi just like that. Then whenever you want, go to any Pokemon Mart with a space open in your party and you get a lvl 50 Celebi, which you can trade to Black/White later if you want another exclusive pokemon.  :tup I didn't even have to configure the wi-fi or anything, it automatically connected.

And to unlock Mystery Gift (incase you missed it in the last post): https://wiki.answers.com/Q/How_do_you_get_the_mystery_gift_in_Pokemon_Diamond_or_Pokemon_Pearl_on_your_selection_screen_after_the_title_page

I feel dumb. I thought that today was the 6th (I dont know why...), so I traded in some games so I could get White.

Good news: I expected maybe $20 at most from my trades, but ended up with $46.

Bad news: It's not the 6th :sadpanda:

But I pre-ordered and I'll pick it up tmrw :tup

And I'd help, but fucking Diamond doesn't support WPA.

I have Golem and Gengar, they fuck shit up. Especially Gengar who has the best move set I've ever had on any pokemon in any game ever.

Gengar (Posion/Ghost)
Hypnosis (Psychic)
Dream Eater (Psychic 100/100)
Shadow Ball (Ghost 80/100)
Sludge Bomb (Poison 90/100)

And of course all of those are special attacks, which Gengar has a huge preference to.
