I knew the water starter would become something badass, but that looks totally unrelated. :lol

That being said, I'd say the starter designs are the 2nd best, next to 1st Gen.

I dig these guys.
A few seemed phoned in (Tauros ripoff...?) but a lot of these look so badass. Fucking Electric flying squirrel and lightning bug pokemon = amazing.
Also new unique type combinations FTW!

Holy shit, this new pogeymans are really contrasting just like black and white :neverusethis:
The good looking ones are so awesome its not even funny  and the bad ones(the legendarys are the worst ever my god those onis are so fucking baaaaaaaaad) are really bad.
I imagined the story to go more like this.

I was sitting a traffic light blaring Space Dye Vest and next to me in another car was Kevin Moore. And I'll never be open again.

There are many cool non-legends, but legends are really the worst. Although I liked Zekrom since the announcement.

Agree that the best of the new Pokemon look amazing, and the worst... are probably among Pokemon's all-time worst.

I think I like these more than Diamon/Pearl's though.

As far as I can see, the new pokémon are way more balanced in terms of types overall than in Gen3 and 4. There are actually more Fire pokémon available than in the last two generations combined. Also, some cool type combinations there (Ghost/Fire FTW). However, I have a hard time figuring out what some pokémon are supposed to be (# 529, 530 or 527 and 528 for example)

One thing I noticed is that there are:

-Lots of physical attackers
-Lots of really godawful slow pokemon
-Not too many worthwhile-looking water types.
-Well we can't accuse Nintendo of making another Infernape/Blaziken because the fire starter is one of those slow-as-balls pokemon.
-Pretty good looking legendaries until you pass Zekrom/Reshiram on the pokedex.

There is going to be a Celebi event for HG/SS, but lord knows when. Pokemon is very skimpy with their events :-\

Damn, this reminds me so much of the Kyogre/Groudon battle music. It was my favourite on R/S.

BEST. BATTLE. SONG. EVER. EVER.

Supposedly this is the music that plays while fighting the purple bug/steel legendary at the end of the pokedex.

Also, that one fire ape (Hihidaruma) is single handedly ruining this gen for me. I'm a huge lover of fire types, and not only is this thing idiotic looking, it has some of the best stats of any fire type ever. What the hell.

It's got 140 attack and looks like it wants to punch you. It's going to have Flare Blitz.

Also, this gen just went through the roof in terms of awesome.

Well, I don't know exactly which fire attacks are physical and which ones are special; but this sounds very good.

Still, I'm more leaning towards the chandelier. ;)
