What if Neil Peart left RUSH?

This would truly be the end of RUSH, no?

This already effectively happened and we've already seen the result was basically that it would mean the band would stop.

Yea, what Nick said. When Niel felt he couldn't do rush, rush stopped till he came back.

What Nick and Adami said. If Neil, Geddy or Alex left or took a break, Rush as a band would take a break as well or stop.
... And you ask me: "Where's my hairspray?"

Neil wouldn't leave Rush, that would be like MP leaving Dream Th- oh wait!

But what Nick and Adami said.

"All for one, one for all" in my opinion. All or none for Rush. If Neil, or Geddy, or Alex left the band, they'd all leave. The band would take a break and Rush would just cease to exist for awhile, if not forever.

I recall the the same being said about DT too though, then again it's different with only three members.

Rush is not DT.  There are only a handful of bands that would come to a screeching halt if any of the members left.  Rush is one of those bands; DT is not.

This, the three guys in Rush all play a crucial and pivotal role in the band, both musically, lyrically, publicly, etc. DT is different, and I feel that any of the 4 members could go on without one of the others (with a possible exception of JP).

I seem to recall reading an interview with Geddy where he said that Neal had always said he was going to retire from touring when he reached 60, and that the next tour in 2011/12 would therefore be the last. Geddy talked about how the band intend to continue to record, and to play one-off shows to record live albums and DVDs, but that the days of touring at the current level would soon be over.

Shame.  ???
