Jordan Speaks
« on: September 09, 2010, 02:34:45 PM »
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cgqm8g95wwI&feature=youtu.be&a

Here, he's speaking about how he feels on Portnoy's departure.
Quite frankly, I think he says everything.

He starts singing around the 3:30 part.

I saw this on the main thread, I'm currently listening. This is amazing, one of JR's best piano improvisations for sure (And not just saying, I listen to his piano work all the time)

The diminished(?) chord at the end was a very interesting way to end it... wonder what Jordan meant by that.  :lol

Saw this on MP.com. At first I found it a bit funny as a concept, then I was a little worried it might end up being corny, but it's lovely. The second half in particular. They should expand some of that into a full song. Use some of it.

I couldn't make out the words, but that was a very classy piano piece. Beautiful, and a beautiful tribute to Mike. May Mike find what he is looking for in life and music.

That is a hell of a chord at the end.  Very beautiful throughout, but that last chord sounded frustrated, angry, and somber.  Its probably the most I've enjoyed Jordan behind only his piano.

It sounded very Razor's Edge to me.

Have we seriously reached a point as a society where we are judging decade long relationships based on Twitter?

Also, they've changed their relationship status to "It's complicated."

In my experience, no one ever lists their relationship status as "It's complicated" with someone unless its a joke.  If they list it as "It's complicated" with no one else, it means they're being emo.

Beautiful improvisation. I couldn't really make out the words when he was singing, but this video does make me very optimistic for the future of the band.

Nope, I've seen people actually change their status from in a relationship to it's complicated, and then a week later breaking up with the person.
