Dream Theater - Dream Theatre

Dream Theatre.  Just to **** with everyone.

"All great works are prepared in the desert, including the redemption of the world. The precursors, the followers, the Master Himself, all obeyed or have to obey one and the same law. Prophets, apostles, preachers, martyrs, pioneers of knowledge, inspired artists in every art, ordinary men and the Man-God, all pay tribute to loneliness, to the life of silence, to the night." - A. This thread should stay sticky and open until we find out who the new drummer is.

This thread will stay a sticky as long as the mods think it should be.

Cool. I hope that the auditions won't take too long.

Sticky and open is rarely a good combination, but in this case I agree.

Good thing Mike decided to take a break from the internet.

Good to know the auditions have started. God, I can't imagine how awesome it is to the drummers - they all get some time to play with Dream Theater. Rock on, guys!  :metal

So, two solid pages of nothing but joke posts that contribute zero to the topic.  Awesome.  Another good thread headed for a lock.  Congrats, guys.

I was thinking that this has become a bit of a chat thread. There doesn't seem to be much to talk about now that Mike has banned himself from the net. And since the rest of the guys are moving forward, we can discuss future developments, such as the drum auditions, in the appropriate thread(s).

But I think this forum has too many stickied threads anyway

There doesn't really seem to be any need for it.  Anything useful that comes up in another thread can be posted in Nick's update thread.

Cool. I hope that the auditions won't take too long.

I don't know. Maybe each drummer will have to play a 15-minute drum solo, in addition to songs, for his audition. That could extend proceedings somewhat.  ;)

Very pleased that James is (assumedly) involved. It'd've been very easy for them to just audition instrumentally. 'Specially what with CJS's solo tour coming up.

Same here.  Maybe he'll be more involved than just "Hey James, we got music, get your Canadian butt down here and sing something."
