Yup.   Kev's my translator. :lol

That is correct Nick.  I found that odd to when I first read it.

My cousin and brother were in my room listening to it when I yelled out, "There's a line missing!!".  Both my cousin and brother laughed at me till I had them play it back and I sang the line that was supposed to be there.  Just an odd little nugget about that gold disk.

The one gold disk that is worth every penny is Hotel California by the Eagles.

I owned a handful of them gold discs about 10 years ago (and eventually made a bundle off of them when I sold them on eBay...The Wall went for like $125!), and a problem I often noticed with them were the indexes (where the song starts) would sometimes be just a hair off, meaning the track would start a millisecond after it was supposed to, and if it was a song that started off loud (as opposed to a fadein), it was really annoying.

FYI, gold Roll the Bones can be pre-ordered on Amazon for $18 right now.

I'll probably have to jump on that.

This will be my first disc that isn't pressed by Mobile Fidelity. I'm wondering how it will compare.

The only Mobile Fidelity release I'd consider parting with is my sealed copy of Red, Hot and Blue, the Cole Porter tribute, which apparently goes for obscene amounts of money.

Nick, what did you think of the Roll The Bones Gold?

Packaging is kind of a knock off (They obviously couldn't be bothered to get the original art and aped the bad remaster art).

Only had time to listen to the first three songs and based on one listen, I thought Dreamline sounded worse but that Bravado and Roll The Bones sounded a bit warmer and without some of that "poppy" edge that Rupert Hine seemed use with that album.

I hope I have some time to listen to the rest soon.....

Oh my God. You guys. Check out this comment someone posted on Blabbermouth. It's from an article about the upcoming "Time Machine Tour Live in Cleveland" DVD.

Quote
Anyone wanna tell me how a band with 2 full lenghth albums and an ep can make so many DVDs? By my count this will be DVD 14 so that's like 7 DVDs per album. How can people listen to the same 20 songs over and over? The band is complete filth with zero talent. Only reason they are popular is because of the 4, yes 4, 911 tribute / remembrance songs. Way to exploit a tragedy. Absolutely disgraceful

Now...I don't know if I'm just tired, or what, but I haven't laughed that hard all month. I have no idea why I found that so funny. But, my God, I just now regained composure after laughing for like 10 minutes straight. My cheeks are burning and my chest hurts. It's just...so incredibly random and stupid. I doubt any of you will find it nearly as funny as I did, but I just had to share it.

Edit: I tried to reply to his post, but it's been deleted. Oh well.

That's really weird.  Maybe he posted it on the wrong article or something?  Makes no sense otherwise, unless it's just extremely bad trolling.

I don't think it's a troll, just someone seriously misguided.  Not sure how they determined that Rush only had two albums and an EP, or four 9/11 tribute songs, but they probably realized their mistake or had it pointed out to them, so they deleted it.  Hey, some people are idiots.

I wonder what band he's talking about (assuming it's a mistake). The live DVD was pushed back to October 27th or so BTW.

For as much as I love them, if a comment like that could be made about anyone it's Transatlantic.

They have three albums and will soon have like 6 live releases.

Um, does that mean staying at home and listening to at least half of their discography in one sitting?

Because I do that extremely regularly.

If so then I recommend using the synth era for the refractory period so you can return rock-hard for Roll the Bones.

Um, Roll The Bones is easily the most improperly named album I've ever heard.

Dreamline does put me in the general direction of the creamline, and Bravado has that, but the second that Neal Peart starts rapping, that album's done.  And with that, my sex drive.  Unless I listen to some Kiss or other band full of machismo and single entenders.  Like pre-75 Rush.

He's that guy, the one with the beanie.  I think he plays something like pan flute or harp.  I can't really tell, because he's always lurking behind the drum machine.

That would be nice.

But in this case it meant watching Beyond The Lighted Stage then listening to All The World's A Stage, The Grace Under Pressure Tour show and Snakes And Arrows Live.

While I love for it to continue I've been inspired by Spock's Beard's High Voltqge performance and would love to get some quality time with Neal Morse's Spock's Bread.

Perhaps this weekend.

I work at a pool, and we usually have police officers patrol the area since we're located in a really bad part of the city.

So, a new PO came today and he looked JUST fucking like Peart. :lol And he was pretty smart too. At one point he was even hand drumming on the table.  :lol

Just thought I would contribute that wonderful story to this thread.
