Problem with Roll the Bones is they've played the 4 songs I think they have any chance of playing. If they go back to it, it will be to one of 3 songs I've already heard plenty of times.

I understand this is kinda pointless as I've whittled it down and made it personal, but for shits and giggles, here are in chronological order the 10 songs I most want to see live that I never have and they at least have a reasonable chance at playing-

Jacob's Ladder
The Enemy Within
Territories
Middletown Dreams
Lock and Key
The Pass
Between Sun & Moon
Cold Fire
Test for Echo
Driven

Well, only Jacob's Ladder is missing for me.  I'd love to see it.

So I just found out that, apparently, two songs on the album have sub-songs within/after them, as a track list has been revealed to show as such...

I read about that a few weeks ago, but wasn't sure if it was true or not.  Guess we'll know in two weeks and a day.

I don't really care what they play given it will be my first time seeing them. However, I think Between Sun and Moon would be cool live.

Yeah, I've always though it had a great live vibe to it.

So is there a deluxe version of the album coming out or is there only the CD version and vinyl version?

Most of the sites I've seen only list a regular CD version and a vinyl version. No bonus DVD or DVD-A or Blu-Ray or 5.1 Audio or Making-of DVD... just a plain CD and a plain double-vinyl.

I was hoping, whether it was worth it on my wallet at the time or not, that being with Roadrunner, they'd have a super-mega-ultra-deluxe package box set with the double vinyl, a CD of the album, a DVD making-of, a Blu-Ray Audio disc in stereo and 5.1, a lithograph, a mousepad, all housed in a steampunked box.

But...guess that wasn't meant to be :sadpanda:

Looks like we were thinking the same thing. With Roadrunner I thought it was mandatory that a deluxe edition is released  :P

Considering doing a Clockwork Angels listening party, would people be interested?

And if so, would you want it to be the weekend before release, the day of release, or the weekend after release?

30 second samples https://www.walmart.com/ip/20923974

Sweet! Even though these are only the first 30 seconds of each song, it sounds pretty good! And it sounds like a lot of the songs will segue together, giving the album even MORE of a concept album feel. Pretty sweet! Can't wait to hear the whole thing soon! The next 12 days are gonna be HARD to wait...

got to say from the clips I LOVE the separation in the instruments!!  No wall of guitars.  It sounds great.

Loving the samples. The songs sometimes sound kind of samey, but they're great on the whole. I'm loving the new heavy sound; it works well for new Rush.

Wal-Mart is evil, and I refuse to give them another hit on their piece of shit website, so I will wait till samples are up on amazon or iTunes. :)

Funnily enough I just saw a Rushisaband tweet on my phone and haven't actually heard the samples. It's only 8 days out for me, so I'll wait to have the album in hand before listening.

I haven't/won't listened to any samples either.

The generic promo single (edit and album version) I found over the weekend (which kind of sounds like crap actually) will tide me over until the Friday before release when I have to be brave and just walk in and walk out with Clockwork Angels and not a dozen other albums that I have been holding off on.

So far I am really liking the samples, but then again 30 seconds don't really do them justice.

     Can't wait for this album.

Interesting how most of the songs start with some similar ambient noise. This could be the first Rush album that really feels like a connected piece of work rather than a collection of songs.

Either way, color me excited.
Orion....that's the one with a bunch of power chords and boringly harsh vocals, isn't it?

It's not the music I worry about- it's the vocal melodies. A couple of decent riffs there- a few wasted intro samples. A couple of more upbeat sounding riffs. Certainly promising.

You're so right.  The first time i heard Cparts, i was pretty disappointed.  But when Double Agent came on, i was relieved.  It was the only track that SOUNDED like Rush to me, on that first listen.  Now it's my favorite track on the album, aside from maybe Leave that Thing Alone.
