Has Alex lost weight? Or is the suit compressing his fatness?

He looks like his usual pudgy self in the other two pictures from that event (which I mean in the nicest way possible :lol), so that it is probably just a flattering camera angle in the one posted here.

Rush with South Park co-creator Matt Stone.

Nice suits!

And cool to see Pete Townshed in the background on the far left.

Question about the tour, some shows on ticketmaster are listed as Evening Withs, but some are not, are they all Evening With shows? Or only the ones listed?

I'm not the hugest Rush fan, but I don't believe they've had an opening band for over a decade, so I have to imagine that they are all Evening Withs. You might want to wait for someone else to chime in, though...

I would be shocked if there were any shows that weren't Evening-Withs.

Everyone keeps calling this "their 20th studio album"...Are people counting "Feedback"?  Cause I wouldn't.   ???

 :rollin

What if we all just call Feedback a Studio EP? Although the Wikipedia definition of an "album" states an album is a recording over 25 minutes, otherwise it's an EP, and Feedback is just over 27 minutes long  :lol

Generally speaking, I always consider cover albums to be official studio albums. Feedback is no exception.

I wouldn't...but even if I did, I would side with those who say it is more of an "EP" than an "album"...

It's a studio cover album, not an EP.

By Wikipedia's definition, A Change of Seasons and Nil Recurring are albums. I think it's largely up to the artist, and what they consider it to be.

To me, 'Studio Album' implies that it's mostly or entirely original material. A cover album, even if it's recorded in a studio, isn't a 'studio album' in that sense. Yes, technically it is, but when most people refer to a studio album, they're talking about original music by that band or artist.

Even if Feedback isn't counted as an EP (which it is), Clockwork Angels is Rush's 19th album.

Feedback isn't a studio album. Anyone who says studio album is pretty much always talking about original major releases by a band. I make no exception for Rush, and the only reason the band or media outlets are pushing it as the 20th studio album is because 20th sounds better than 19th.

Yeah, 20th sounds cooler than 19th, but that's such a stupid reason.  Especially since Rush have said that they'll record until they die, or something like that.  The one after this will be the 20th album, legit, so are they gonna call that the 21st album?  They'll be "off by one" from now on.

And besides, 20th sounds better than 21st, so I wouldn't be too shocked if things fix themselves next time around.

And if not it'll be 5 years now and no one will ever remember I was wrong on this one. :p

Exactly, no one will remember in 5 years time when the next studio album comes what the press release said for the previous album.

True, but the internet is forever. And once ONE person remembers it, they'll post a link, and then others will post that link, and soon the whole internet will remember...

In addition - press releases, reviews, articles, interviews, blogs, vlogs, and clogs from 5 years ago still exist online from the release of Snakes & Arrows, like this one:
https://brucejemcc.blogspot.com/2007/03/new-album-from-rush-snakes-and-arrows.html

...where the writer states "On May 1st, Rush releases their 19th album and it's called Snakes & Arrows".

So...there's that.
