I got invited last night by a friend to go see Rush in Stockholm next May! Hopefully the tickets won't be released yet, since my economy is dire during the Christmas holidays. I've got a feeling they will be pretty expensive.
Zydar is my new hero.  I just laughed so hard I nearly shat.

I'm pretty sure they are worth it, but it's just that this is the worst month they could release the tickets, because of Christmas mostly money will be a problem.
Also, i consider myself to be a somewhat casual Rush-fan.
I do enjoy them when i listen to them, but i'm nowhere near the fanboy-status that some people here have, so it's a hard choice for me. :P

I'd look at it as this.  I missed Pink Floyd in the 70's because I was too young.  I had to see them in the 90's and I'm glad I didn't miss them since it was their last tour. Look at seeing Rush the same way.  Now,  it won't be Rush's last tour I'd think,  but you never know if they'll stop touring in Europe like they did for over a decade.

And if you're worried about not having money for Christmas presents and Rush tickets then combine them. Get someone Rush tickets.

Rush is my wife's favourite band, so despite the fact I had already bought her a Kindle for Christmas and she didn't want me to get her anything else, I couldn't resist.

She doesn't know.  I think she'll be happy.

I listened to Snakes & Arrows Live during the drive back to school today and the Snakes & Arrows songs sound so good. What an amazing record.

More North American dates...including Greensboro NC on a Friday!  Me=happy!

Of course this also means I will be spending lots of money again... :(  Even worse its not an outdoor gig, meaning no relatively cheap lawn seats...

But the pros outweigh all the cons.

Sonuvabitch! Yes!

I've been procrastinating on seeing Rush for a couple of years now, but not this time! Even if I have to club one of my friends half to death and drag him to the show, I'm gonna see some goddamn Rush.

I noticed that they are offering almost the same stuff as part of the VIP package again.  Well, they won't fool anyone with this stuff this time:

#  - Specially Designed Tour Shirt (exclusive design, available to ticket packages only)
# - Exclusive Tour Poster (numbered, limited)

:lol

And since the tour program has the official Time Machine set list listed in it, unless they change it in the program, you would have to assume that the set list will be exactly the same.  At best, they might swap out of a few songs (like they did for the 2nd leg of the S&A tour), but I wouldn't expect any major changes at all.

Just realized that the Baltimore Show tickets go on sale the FIRST DAY of ticket sales for this leg of the tour...but it's the last show of the NA leg. UGH... hopefully the tickets aren't TOO expensive, or I can convince my dad for an early Xmas gift this year...

Exactly. A few songs might be swapped out, which is enough to get me to one show and possible another depending on which songs are in. Although, if the US leg is only a month, they may not switch anything.

The MSG show will be number 33 for me I think. I haven't missed an American leg since I started going in 1986.

Tickets will be a little more than last year. Count on it.

I'm gonna wait on the setlist. If they change it up a bit and add songs I'm interested in, I'll probably make the trip down to NYC.

I'd love to see Rush again, but its kind of far, expensive, and they'll be touring for the new album soon...
