Oh, I thought we would get a download link by now. I'll have to wait till November, damn shame.

So Kevin Moore's totally made up for ignoring the "$500 to a charity of your choice if you interview in Lifting Shadows" deal  :)

There should've been a "Pledge $1000 or more: All of the above + Kevin agrees to be interviewed about his Dream Theater days" option! He would've gotten LOADS of money with that option!  :lol

Anyone else get their Shine CD-R today besides me?  It was so exciting to open my mailbox and see an envelope with Kevin's handwriting on it!  The music is so good.  Definitely a better soundtrack than Ghost Book, if you ask me.  I love his simple, yet beautiful, use of the piano.  Can't wait to get my real copy next month when he mails them!

I didn't donate $100, so I'm not getting it 'till it comes out.

I wasn't able to pledge while this was going, but I can't wait until it goes on sale so I can buy a copy.

Hmm... odd I'm not getting that. Am I doing something wrong? Logged in, I see nothing/no prompt to put in shipping info.

edit: Sent him a message and he responded that it was only for higher $$ pre-orders, $20 info will be collecting soon.

He just emailed a download link out to everyone. Listening now! :tup

If you're having problems unzipping the file after it downloads you might need to type in ".zip" onto the end of the filename. Mine didn't come with it for some reason.

Well, it's a soundtrack alright. It has cool tunes, love the piano but nothing I'd listen to regularly. It's about time he makes another CK album, goddamn it!

Thank goodness for this post, I was being a total wally, failing to figure out how to extract the file.

Was starting to think it would never be open again...

Aw yeah, what's that mean? I don't care about the album, I've got my name written by Kevin Moore.

I got one of those too.

I've listened to this twice so far. So far, I'm thinking it's not quite as good as the rest of his work, but I probably need to give it more spins. I do like the vocals quite a bit though.

For those interested, I just posted an interview with Steve Tushar on The Mooreatorium (www.themooreatorium).  Tushar is best known among Kevin Moore fans for his work on Chroma Key's 2000 album, You Go Now. He has also collaborated with Moore on projects ranging from Carbon 12 to a Metallica tribute album and has remixed songs by bands including Fates Warning and Dream Theater.  Feel free to check it out.

FYI - Shine was out of print for a while but Kevin just ordered 500 more copies and they will start shipping April 16th.  I just ordered mine from the site.

RIP, Bige Adkeniz, the voice for "Shine."  She apparently passed away of cancer last week.  She is now shining in heaven.  The title track "Shine" is one of the most beautiful songs Kevin has ever written.  If any of you haven't heard it, definitely find it somewhere online.

Here's a link to her obit, but it's in Turkish: https://www.ixhaberler.com/Default.asp?mxz=haber&hid=16272

Her voice is definitely haunting.  Whenever I listen to that song, I feel it's the song I'll hear in my head the instant before I die.  I believe Kevin and her dated for a while, from what various musicians said that previously worked with them.  Anyway, I'm glad that us fans had the opportunity to chip in and bring the Shine CD to life in 2010, and bring her voice to fans that otherwise never would have heard it.

The stars are on fire tonight
Don't hurry home
The stars are on fire tonight
So high above
So long ago
See how they shine."

I didn't realise she was Kevin's girlfriend.
God to hear Shine now must be heartbreaking & uplifting at the same time for anyone who knew her personally.
It will take on an even deeper meaning each time I listen to it now.

A stone just dropped in my stomach; a few weeks ago, I was listening to Shine tracks that are on Kev's soundcloud and I thought about what a great voice she has.

Wow.
Very sad news.

I last listened to this about a month ago.
