Things could have been MUCH worse, but I'm thankful that they weren't.  Chino's a cool guy and an appreciated member of DTF.  Get well soon, dude.

So when will one of the mods change his screen name to Colt Seavers?

Funny you should mention that.  I was considering something along those lines.
Hef is right on all things. Except for when I disagree with him. In which case he's probably still right.

It sure as fuck isn't funny at all! Its a wake up call. Chino has a problem with alcohol that goes beyond the norm. He needs to examine himself and make some serious life decisions. Perhaps, Wkiml could have a talk with him to better enlighten him as to the pitfalls of long term alcohol abuse. Its not cute, and it is not funny and can lead to a lifetime of destruction.
My dad was a hardcore alcoholic. It took his life at age 57. Its not pretty. It all starts when your young. I hope Chino keeps that picture of himself in plain site as a reminder of how lucky he is to be alive.

I'd be more than willing too talk to him, if he's got an open mind about it, I myself lived in denial for years, never thinking it was a problem until I too spent one to many times in the emergency room . The last time was a wake up call for me.

Wait, when did we start assuming Chino was an alcoholic?
That is difficult word to define as a blanket statement, but I think its safe to assume from all the drunken photo's, the story's he tells about his drinking, and oh yeah, the fact he was hammered and fell from a balcony is a pretty good indication he may have a bit of a problem brewing. That's just my hunch.

Wait, when did we start assuming Chino was an alcoholic?

Alcoholic is a strong word but anyone who drinks until they pass out or has blackouts from drinking is on the wrong path when it comes to any alcoholic beverage (beer/wine/spirits) Although its socially acceptable and legal doesn't make it any less dangerous than illegal drugs. The long term effects are much more harmful to all of the body major systems than many illegal drugs. I could go on and on but I won't. I just hope this experience for Chino, may have opened his eyes.

Hey wkiml, out of curiosity, do you still drink socially, or have you stopped all together since making a recovery?

Getting shitfaced at parties != alcoholism. But hey, let's all judge anyways based on a few photos and an accident.

Falling out of a 4th story balcony because your hammered signals a problem, period. That and passing out drunk and posting pictures of it like its funny.  Alcoholism starts somewhere, Sigz. Its just something that happens when this shit becomes the norm in your life. If you don't think what happened to Chino should be cause for concern, I don't know how you define it? Maybe being 45, I have seen the path of fun in youth that leads to big problems in many people, and it all starts out as good fun. Chino obviously has a problem, and nothing could convince me otherwise.

I think I can answer that for him. When you were in the place wkiml was in with alcohol, their is no such thing as social drinking, because you don't have the ability to pull that off.
Forgive me, wkiml if I over step my bounds on this one.

When it leads to a near fatal experience I'd say you need to do something about it. But hey, it's all laughs here!

No offense to Sigz, but he has not had enough life experience to get it quite yet. Only time and living life will bring this understanding. I have seen so much! He will be offended by this post and probably give me a typical elitist comeback to this post but its just the truth. Sigz is a very sharp, intelligent young man but some things are only fully understood over a prolonged scope of time.

I think that friends are all worried about him and since he's ok physically people use humor as a nervous mechanism.  I do it and I know a lot of people do it.  His good friend who posted this thread did it too on FB.  But underneath it all we all worry if this way just a mistake in the moment or something else.  I think it's safe to say we all happy that he's ok and now he can think about if it is something more.
