They've got their own share of piss I'd imagine. For as much as the Europeans like to scoff at stuff like Bud (and rightfully so) they have stuff that is not only just as bad but stuff that actually smells and tastes skunked when they sell it. Czechvar, I'm looking at you.

Yeah we have our fair share of shitty beers here. In fact, when it comes to lager, we British are terrible. Bitters and ales (real beers :P) are where we're at. Continental Europe do a lot of good lagers though, particularly in the central and eastern regions.

Wait, what's this thread about again?

You should try a twelve-pack of this delightful stuff called "Natural Ice". It's amazing. Best beer in the world, hands down.

*sigh*

At least my uncle and grandmother are going home tomorrow so I can focus on this when it is my turn.

Provided I don't keel over from over working myself, I should be able to get through the songs at a relatively quick pace. 10 participants though is a lot. I'll be cool though.

Alright, sorry for the massive delay peeps.

Best:

Ariich - Freak Kitchen - Dead Soul Man: So awesome. For some reason, they reminded me of a heavier proggier version of Barenaked Ladies (esp. the vocals). Seeing as how BNL is one of my favorite bands ever, that's a very good thing.

Great:

Orcus - The Antlers - Prologue/Kettering: I'd seen the album cover before, but had no idea what it was. It was in fact fantastic though. Really gorgeous atmospheric/indie/whatever.

Good:

Gorille - Augury - Brimstone Landscapes: Cool tech metal song. A lot of it just kinda blended together, but it was all good, and the guest vocals from Syriak and Leilendil definitely added some variety later on in the song.

Birch - Fallout - Rock Hard: Good hard rock/metal song. Not much else to say.

Voxiain  - Villagers - Twenty Seven Strangers: More nice acoustic singer songwriter type stuff. How much singer songwriter stuff do you have Voxyn?  :lol

Less good:

73109 - Clapton & BB King - Riding With the King - I love Clapton, but this song was just kind of annoying. I generally don't care for really upbeat blues like this. *shrug*

Makes me glad I was born in the 90s:

teh king - The Fixx - One Thing Leads to Another - Sorry Shmegland, but I really, REALLY can't stand 80s music as a whole.

Score:

Arrich - 20
Orcus - 19
Gorille - 18
Voxyn - 15
73109 - 12
Shmegland - 12
Birch - 11

THE PENULTIMATE ROUND OF DOOM: Give me the strangest song you can find. Whatever you define as 'strange' will work.

There's a lot more where that came from :eyebrows:.

Yes! Thought you'd enjoy it. :)

For the new round, presumably you want it to still be good, but we get bonus points for strangeness?

While I can respect the blues somewhat if you've heard a blues song by one artist you've pretty much heard all blues songs by that artist.

The strange round should go well for me! I'm just gonna check Sigz's last.fm and pick one of my strange bands that isn't listed there.

I'll give some exceptions to Clapton since he's found ways to make cool licks from the typical I-IV-V blues structure but I can't help but feel the whole genre is incredibly samey and predictable.

Oh and yes I was doing a discography run through, Marv. Took me longer than I imagined for some reason.
