I would say none of them, because they are all married and couldn't abandon their families like that.  Kevin had the freedom to do that.  I envy him.  It's something that a lot of people dream of doing, but never have the guts to do it.

In all honesty, the only person I can see quitting is Myung. And the ONLY reason is because of his already personal departure from everything else. He doesn't involve himself in the writing, stopped writing lyrics, lacks any real stage presence. He seems as withdrawn as they described Kevin Moore.

Obviously all his choice, which is why I won't be too shocked if he just loses inetrest in quits.

I don't understand what's so wrong with asking the question that the OP asked.  It's not like it was asked rudely.  Anyway, I would say Myung.  Not that there's any evidence that he feels like Kevin Moore felt, but just because of his overall demeanor.  He's very quiet and seems reclusive.  Kevin Moore seemed that way, too.  So, they're kind of similar.  But, I can't forsee this actually happening, though.

Eh, I don't agree with, "if Myung leaves, DT ends."  i don't think the role he plays within DT is important enough to say that DT couldn't continue without him.  That's NOT an insult to Myung, it's just an observation of how DT works.

And, just to clarify - OF COURSE I don't mean that the role of the bass player is less important than that of other musicians.  I just think that, with DT's music, if Myung ever left, they could easily find someone to a) play his parts and b) step right into the role that he already has, which is to come up with bass parts around what the other guys make up.  It seems like Myung doesn't do that much music writing anymore within DT.... right?

Nothings wrong with it, it's just been re-hashed here so many times in the last year alone...I can't imagine how many times some of the older members have seen these types of threads.  It really is the stuff that keeps me mostly in the GD boards.

That said, I'm surprised no one went with Rudess, which would be my choice.  JR isn't a metal head, and that does seem like the direction the band has headed (coupled with a MP comment about wanting to do more metal), so I could see him losing interest more than others - especially if something more to his liking came about.  I'm not saying I think its going to happen, just that he seems like a more natural choice.

And shouldn't LaBrie be LaCheese?  Brie is even a French cheese, and since he's Canadian he speaks French...

Well for most likely... I'm thinking JLB. I think he's the one with most performance problems (as in quality-wise, not stage presence, etc) and I heard about what he's been through around 2000. But yeah, this is if someone HAS to do what KM did, but on a normal circumstance, there's no reason why anyone would leave the band.

Honestly the only member who could possibly pull a Kevin Moore is Portnoy. I can't see the other members leaving for any reason.

A lot of people said Myung because of his reclusiveness, but hasn't he always been like this? The Silent Man was, after all, written about him!
