DT fans really like Fiction

Basic A7X fans apparently not so much  :-\
I can't imagine how amazing an experience [SCORE] must of been to see.

Really? Aside from that "MUMBLEMUMBLEMUMBLEMUMBLE" part, the entire song is so eerie yet so beautiful.
I felt its length in quite a few places.

YOU SHOULD HAVE KNOWN
THE PRICE OF EVIL

God that chorus is SO good.

And Fiction, man. Just the circumstances surrounding that song and everything...It's such an emotional song to listen to. I love it. I can't believe A7X fans don't like it.

Yeah, I'm shocked as well.

Also listening to the album once again. God damn, Nightmare (song) has really grown on me. Even those cringe-worthy lyrics don't bother me as much.

And I don't think it's just the "new album novelty" either. I can see this one being a rather strong album a year from now.

I'm on Buried Alive now. I still have a hard time with this track. It feels far too Metallica influenced for my liking, but at the same time it's not THAT bad. I like it a little better than from my first listen, but still hardly.

So Far Away still remains the only song on the album I really don't care for.

The drum fills at the end of Save Me are freaking sweet.
Jesus Christ himself* comes down amidst a choir of 2 billion angels singing Handel's Hallelujah chorus. As KrotchRaut shred randomly on guitars made of dragon bones using picks made from God's kidney stones, Jesus heals a blind woman who promptly gives birth onstage to a creation of pure light.

*Yes, Jesus Christ himself. Nothing less will do.

Avenged fans don't like Fiction? I need to see some evidence that back up that quote cause I really ain't buying it.

Oh and look at the lyrics to Fiction and So Far Away.

Mentions pain and broken heart in So Far Away (from Syn. Gates to Rev)

Mentions hurt going away and giving life for someone in Fiction (from Rev to us, the fans, the band?)

Suspicious indeed. We all know what the report said about his death but it is a very fishy story and somethings just fit into place. I hate to be disrespectful as he was my favourite member but it's thought provoking.

I'm pretty sure they rewrote all the lyrics after Rev's death to be about how they feel about losing him.

This new album has a wicked Guns n Roses Illusion era feel to it.

And God Hates Us really reminds me of classic Armored Saint.
would have thought the same thing but seeing the OP was TAC i immediately thought Maiden or DT related

Yeah, wasn't it originally about the media/society/television/internet's effect on American youth or something stupid like that (a mainstream version of FOABP, I guess)? However, considering the Rev actually sings on Fiction they obviously didn't change those particular lyrics :P

I really love the album, but the one thing that irritates me is having the 3 slow songs all in a row at the end. Kinda kills the vibe a bit for me. Luckily they pull it back with Save Me, which is the best them

A7X's slow songs are usually better than their fast metal rockers. Their musicianship is far better showcased when they slow things down and experiment a bit. Also the vocal quality exponentially grows on the more ballad-esque tunes.
