Stem tracks from BC&SL
« on: July 22, 2010, 09:22:43 AM »
A friend of mine has the Deluxe Box set with the individual instrument stem tracks.  Last night we spent a lot of time having fun with those tracks and Audacity, using different effects and just playing around with the music.

Do any other albums have these stem tracks?  I'd love to listen to some of my favorite tunes broken down into each individual instrument.

Man, I'd love to hear the solos and drums from Stream of Consciousness, This Dying Soul, Glass Prison.

Well, for the drums you can always get the respective "bad drum-related pun on album name" videos from MP.

I would love to get access to stems from Train of Thought.

I'd love to hear people doing more with the stems for Black Clouds, honestly.

They were cool to play around with for a few hours and would be good if you wanted to learn parts for a certain instrument, but I'm not sure I would pay that much for them again. Don't really see myself listening to 70 minutes worth of isolated bass anytime soon.

I don't know about bass, but I find myself quite frequently listening to the keyboard parts. Jordan is such a genius.
