LV, Springsteen..you're right! No wonder why I've always thought of Bon Jovi's Blood On Blood.
It's Getting Dangerous is a great song.

So is Dancing In The Moonlight. That's off of Bad Reputation.
You need to check out 2 other tracks off of Bad Rep..Southbound and Dear Lord.

Holy War ...Angel of Death  2 of my favorite songs ....
Now there's a shock! :lol
would have thought the same thing but seeing the OP was TAC i immediately thought Maiden or DT related

Cowboy Song is one of the most glorious guitar songs of all time. I do really like them, but I think Gary Moore's soloing is a lot of the reason for that. They just make the happiest chord progressions, harmonies and solos ever, and then do the angrier stuff well too. Great band.

Cowboy Song is really fun to play. Our band played it before we started with our own material. We only have one guitarist though so we couldn't really get the right harmonies in the leads, but I loved playing it on bass.
Zydar is my new hero.  I just laughed so hard I nearly shat.

Well, Gary Moore is only on two albums, Nightlife and Black Rose. The classic Thin Lizzy (Fighting through Bad Reputation) was played by Brian Robertson, but yes, he is very underrated.

BTW, Anthrax did a very nice cover of The Cowboy song years ago.

My old band also used to play the Cowboy Song.  What a fantastically fun song to play.  Especially when the other guitarist and I were able to pull off all the harmonies (and the bass player as well).  Then the vocal harmonies.  That song was a thrill ride.  Both guitar solos are fucking badass.  I really miss playing it.

The non edited version of Empty Rooms has to be heard to be believed. Gary's solo is incredible.
The solo gives me chills every time I hear it.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gMF_qBnhcUs
Just shut your eyes and listen to this solo in the middle of this song...

The version on We Want Moore, with the instrumental intro, is fantastic. I've probably seen Gary Moore live more than anyone else.

I love Lizzy but found all their albums patchy. I have a best of I made for the car that is awesome, but doesn't resemble any of the commercial best ofs. no Boys Are Back I Town for example.

Lowdz, ..when/where did you see Gary Moore?

I only saw him twice: He was the first band I ever saw in concert (opened for Def Leppard/Krokus) on 6/25/83 at the Cape Cod Coliseum. His band was Ian Paice, Neil Murray, & Neil Carter.
Then I saw him in 1987 at The Living Room in Providence. His band was Eric Singer, Bob Daisley, & Neil Carter.

I can't remember who was with him when he opened for Rush on the GUP tour in 1984.  TAC, you must know.

I'm in the UK, saw him in Preston, Blackbburn (my 2nd or 3rd gig), but mainly Manchester several times. In the 80s he was touring all the time. Oh, Donington 84 as well. Now that was a gig! Saw him mainly with Neil Carter and various musicians, but a few times in his blues guise.

Well Neil Carter would've been with him. I thought Craig Gruber may have been the bassist, but I'm not sure of the drummer.

edit:  and Dancing In The Moonlight has a serious Van Morrison vibe, finger snapping, saxophone and all..

Ive always thought that too.. Bruce stole so much from Phil, everyone stole from Phil from Judas to Bon Jovi
